(Another Time Jump. Last one I promise. About another 6 months later)(Age 21)
Arch and I have been dating for a year now and I adore him. Sure we have our problems and our love is just stronger then things that get thrown are way. I actually enjoy living with Veronica and Betty. I even go to see Victor every other month and he is getting closer and closer to having a message be able to be sent out.
"Morning Jade." Betty says.
"Morning." I say.
"Hey lovely ladies. Good morning." Veronica says and sits down at the table.
"So... Jade, did Archie leave this morning?" Betty asks.
"No, He didnt stay the night last night. His mom's in town so he spent time with her. I thought it was Jughead." I say.
"No Jug had to write and... It was Reggie wasnt it?" She questions looking at Veronica.
Veronica did say anything she just drank her coffee and she was clearly blushing.
"I thought you hated him." I say.
"I did at one point, but now I just... I just think he might be a better person now." Veronica says.
"Vee thats amazing. Although he doesnt need to run out in the morning. He broke the lamp." Betty says.
"Betty that lamp didnt work." I say.
"I know, but it was from Jughead." She says.
"Betty he got that from my dad. It always sparked, but it did look nice to have on the end table." I say.
"I'll replace it. Oh and you, Cheryl was here last night and she told me her Nana Rose was going off about some man named Victor and space." Veronica says.
"Oh... Well Im gonna go to Cheryl's later. Ohh crap Im gonna be late. My boss is gonna kill me." I say.
"But Archie is your boss and your boyfriend." Betty says.
"Oh Betty if she is late he will punish her in his office." Veronica says with a wink.
"Thats the hope." I say.
"Oh my god." Betty says a spits out her coffee.
I went to my room and got dressed and headed to my work. When I got there I saw Archie boxing with Mad Dog.
"Hey Mad Dog dont hurt that face of his. I kinda like it." I say.
"Like it? I thought you loved it." Archie says getting out of the ring.
"Oh hush you. I got work to do." I say and give him a quick kiss.
"Okay love birds we all have jobs to do." Tom Keller says.
"Yeah. Okay everyone time for work." Archie says.
"Well I gotta get to work, but if you could just stay shirtless and sweaty all day I might just be distracted." I say.
"Dully noted." He says.
I gave Archie one more kiss and then I headed to do my job. Later that night Veronica was throwing a party a La Bonne Nuit when I got a call from Nana Rose.
Phone Call
Jade: Hey everything okay?
Nana Rose: Yes dear. Everything is great. He is finished.
Jade: Finished as in we are good to go to send a message?
Nana Rose: Yes dear and he wants to send it out tonight.
Jade: Tonight? I can do that. I'll see you soon.
Nana Rose: Hurry dear.
End Phone Call.
"Who was that?" Archie asks.
"Nana Rose." I say.
"My Nana Rose? Why did she call you? Is she okay?" Cheryl asks.
"She is just fine, but Victor is ready." I say.
"Who's Victor? Ready for what?" My mom asks.
"Victor is a scientist who can get a message to space." Archie says.
"And he is ready tonight. Im gonna go. Arch are you coming with me still right?" I ask.
"Yeah." He says.
"Do you all want to come?" I ask.
They all looked at me and then before I knew it a Veronica and her parents got fancy cars to take us all there.
