Jade Jones's Story

Chapter 15

Two weeks. I sent the message out two weeks ago. Nothing. I sat in my bed and my mom walked into my room with pie.

"I made this because Archie, Betty, and Veronica all told me your upset. Pie always makes you feel better." My mom says.

"Mom thats Jug or Dad." I say and laugh.

"I know, but I got you laughing now didnt I?" She questions.

"Yeah. Thanks mom." I say.

"Baby I know you and this whole space thing disappoints you. Im sorry I too wanted to believe that Jess is out there somewhere. I know we all said you were alittle crazy for thinking that, but a part of me wanted to believe it." She says.

"Mom it is true. I guess she either is back on Earth and didnt want to come home or she doesnt want to." I say.

"Jade, hey look at me." She says.

"What?" I question.

"Your sister must of loved your message. She is just not done keeping and eye on those friends." She says.

"Yeah. That was crazy to believe. Jess is really never coming back. You know what I'll be at the Whyte Wyrm." I say.

I left my room and the apartment and went to the bar and sat down. I looked across from me and saw my dad's face.

"Your lucky you got Pie." My dad says.

"Yeah pie good one. Hey can I have some darts please? Im doing being good." I say.

"Jade I know..." He says.

"No you dont." I say.

I took some darts and threw them angrily at the dart board and that went on for awhile until someone grabbed tapped on my shoulder.

"So you really are hurt now arent you?" Archie asks.

"Im not hurt." I say.

I went to throw another dart, but he pulled it out of my hand and my dad and brother wouldnt let me grab the others back. So I just left the Whyte Wyrm in a huff.

"Jade! Stop!" Archie yells.

"Why? Why should I slow down and be good again? I hate being nice." I say.

"I didnt mean stop being good I meant stop being Jade. Whenever things dont go as planned you have a meltdown and get mean. I love you Jade, but this isnt good. First your all mopey and then your all rude. I get it your upset and Im worried about you." He says.

"Archie, I love you. But I think we should break up." I say.

I went to walk away from him, but he got in front of me.

"No." He says.

"No! Thats not how break ups work. One doesnt say no to it." I say.

"Well I just did. I love you too much to let you run away because your hurt about this Jesslynn thing. Non of us will know how you feel, but I wont let you run away again. Im sorry, but you and I are meant to be and I will not let you go." He says.

"Well too bad." I say.

I went to walk away from him again and he still gets in front of me. He then came close to me and he just hugged me. I snuggled into his chest and I started to cry. I guess I will never see my sister ever again.
