6【BETRAYAL】

I winced in pain as I noticed that I'd been biting my lip hard enough to bleed as I'd watched the shocking scene in front of me.

Without really thinking about my actions, I will myelf to focus and I begin to drive my car slowly behind the two. I don't even know what I'm doing. . .

Maybe I was surveying their actions. Maybe I wanted to see what was really going on. . .  Maybe I just wanted to see just how much Jennie could break my heart. How deep the wound would be cut if she truly wished it so.

I watch them intently as my car creeps behind them in all its misery. But within seconds, all time froze and I was left sitting dumbly in a still rolling car. My thoughts scattered and my heart gave way to pain, as the sight had left my body numb.

Irene had apparently made her point clear to me, without even knowing I was here. Taking her time so teasingly slowly, she leaned in carefully to kiss Jennie. My heart and mind both screamed crazily in unison, frantically telling Jen not to meet those lips with her own.
But I died a hundred times over as Jennie's actions betrayed me.

Against my will, my eyes wouldn't tear away from her as she happily pressed her lips firmly against Irene's. She smiled into the kiss and wrapped her hands around Irene's neck to pull her closer.

Those soft, soft lips that I crave every minute, no, every second of my life were. . . at this moment. . . craving another's.

Tears spill from the eyes which still can't pull away from this disgusting scene before me. I continue watching, killing myself inside every second longer I watched, not understanding. . .

Not believing that the woman I've told more than a hundred times before that she was my everything, my soul mate, my very soul, was kissing another woman.

And not just any man, but Irene. . . . my ex-girlfriend. .

The woman who had in fact broken my heart in the exact same way. . .  But this time, it hurt maybe 10 times more. . .

Since Jennie knew too. . .

FLASHBACK

The phone began to ring and I dove for it, picking up the reciever quickly. It was Irene!

"Hey Baby, you remember that today is a very special day right?"

"Neh!" I say shyly with a big smile.

"I'll be home in an hour. I have a special day planned for you so get yourself all beautiful and sexy okay?" I giggle in reply, "I love you." She tells me over the phone.

"I love you too," I blew a kiss into the phone and then hung up quickly. I was already so eager and excited. I ran upstairs to my bedroom to get ready.

I hurry over to the closet, pull out my favorite royal blue dress shirt my pair of crisp, white dress pants, and a matching white suit jacket. I set up everything quickly then head over to the dresser. Once there, I get out a nice pair of royal blue dress socks, a white tie, and a clean pair of underwear -- not too tight, not uncomfortable.

I want to look good for my woman tonight, who I've been with for 2 full years. After dinner, who knows what we'll be doing~. I think of many possibilities as I head to the bathroom next and turn on the shower head.

I wait for the water to get warm and then hot before I step inside. While showering, I think about all the times Irene and I had taken showers together while smiling my goofy smile. I shiver inwardly just from the thought of it.

After my 20 minute shower, I brush my teeth with one hand while drying my hair with a towel with the other. Moving quickly again, I spit, rinse, spit, and rinse my mouth again with mouth wash before I floss and begin to get dressed.
