Speeding through the crowded city made me nervous as I shifted in the cold leather seat beneath me. Bakugou was not only a cocky personality but a cocky driver. He swerved and sped around like he owned the road. While I sat beside him trying not to freak out.
He didn't seem to notice my fear as I turned slightly to my left and noticed a faint smile on his face. My stare lingered for a bit before he noticed. Stopping at a red light allowed him to turn his attention towards me as my heart thumped loudly in my chest.
The lighting in the car was so dim against the black leather interior. The small amount of light that did come through the tinted windows illuminated his features and highlighted the strong jawline he possessed. His large frame was extended back in his chair with on hand gripping the wheel and his other free arm rested on the middle console. How did he always look so cool without even trying?
"So tell me again why can't we hang out right now?" He flashed his white teeth at me before the light changed green causing him to step on the gas once again speeding between cars.
"Because you drive like an asshole," I say gripping my door handle in fear.
Bakugou let out the loudest laugh I've ever heard from him as he slowed the car down a bit. My shoulders lowered a bit from the sound of it. I could feel him let off the gas a bit causing the car to jerk slightly. We still were going fast, but nowhere near as fast as before as I shot him a look.
"Nah come on Pouty, why the fuck are you stringing me along here" he scoffed adjusting his hand placement on the wheel. I watched his arms flex from the simple movement.
"You're such a baby," I say rolling my eyes, "I'm not stringing you along at all" I laugh softly before watching a smile spread on his face.
"Then what do you call this?" he extended a hand in the air like he was holding a tray of food. While sounding very matter a fact.
"Well, I would say it looks like a friend giving another friend a ride home"
"Ouch! What the hell!" He turned his head at me and upon noticing my unchanged expression he sighed, "Damnit Pouty you really know how to bruise my ego"
"Someone's got to! You're too cocky you know. How do you know I didn't already have plans and it had nothing to do with you?" I was being a bit playful with my tone but it really was the truth. Bakugou surprised me every time with how self-absorbed he was when he spoke sometimes.
"I see... well if you didn't have plans then you would hang out with me?" He smiled at me brightly squinting his eyes from the aggressiveness of his smile.
"Well, that's not true either" I cover my mouth trying not to giggle out loud from his facial expression. Bakugou shot me a dirty look as I continued to hide my laughter.
"Aw fuck off... So what plans do you have anyway?" He leaned his head over towards me and questioned in a manner that sounded like he was being silly like he thought I was lying or something. It annoyed me as I quickly responded.
"My dads having some old friends come by for dinner so I'm going over to see them" I was sharp with my tone and he noticeably caught that. I really didn't want him to ask any more questions, but I didn't mean to come off this cold. I watched as his shoulders shrug in response.
