" You Found Me - The Fray "
My mind was filled with what-ifs as my feet padded against the floor below me. Was I really making the right decision? Could this all be a mistake, and what about my relationship with Shoto? Did I just completely ruin a perfectly good friendship or chance of a potential relationship?
The wind whipped against my hair as my body zipped through the crowds. The only thing I knew for sure was that I needed to be there on time. I needed to be there to see him and hopefully, once I did, things would make sense. The pieces would fall into place and I would feel more confident and at peace with myself.
I could hear faintly people yelling at me but I couldn't make out what they were saying. My body felt numb as the sound of my own heartbeat and muffled yells filled my mind.
After everything Shoto said, I couldn't help but smile knowing just how much he cared. It was nice to know I had someone who cared so much, besides my own family. His love for me was so strong he was willing to let me go because he knew it was what I wanted.
Looking up at the street signs I realized I only had a block left. I paused briefly to look down at my watch, three minutes... would I even make it on time?
I quickly took off across the street, there was no time to waste as my legs vibrated. I knew I was going to be sore from this but at this exact moment I couldn't feel anything. I could see the bridge in my direct line of vision and it was as if my whole future waited on that bridge. Whether I heard Bakugou out and decided to move forward was only a few minutes away.
Feeling a hand on my arm I quickly jump as the figure pulls me back. The hand tightens as a bus' horn blared as the large automobile zoomed by causing a gust of wind to blow up my shirt. My heart was banging against my rib cage as I inhaled deeply a few times allowing for my lungs to fill with the cool city air.
"WHAT THE HELL! ARE YOU TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED KID!?"
I turn my head to see a random stranger and pull my arm away giving a big smile, "thank you!" I really didn't process what just happened until later that evening but waved off the confused pedestrian as my feet continued on.
I finally had made it to the bridge exactly on time, but the problem was there were so many people using it to go to and from work, not to mention the mass amounts of tourists and students moving about. I stand on my tippy toes trying to make out that familiar fluff of spiked blonde hair, but with no luck, I sink back down onto my heels. Did I miss him? Could he have left?
My eyes fill with tears as my mind instantly wanders with doubt. How could I be so stupid? Did he even wait that long? The crowd continued to move around me before someone bumped directly into my shoulder waking me up from my own self-doubt.
"Owww, jerk!" I yell as the figure continued on. Not even fazed by my harsh tone or words.
Looking back up I knew there was still so much bridge to cover, I knew Bakugou was worth it because if he wasn't I wouldn't have run all the way here... so why would I stop now?
Pushing through the crowd my eyes darted from side to side looking for him. His tall frame wouldn't be hard to find, but I was beginning to panic a bit from the crowd. People were pushing and shoving but I just did the same and tried not to let my anxiety get the best of me.
