I let out a heavy sigh while changing the filter in my coffee pot as the morning rays danced across the kitchen counter. My small hands pushed down on the lid and pressed the brew button before leaning back against the island behind me. I felt a soft smile pull at the corners of my face as the memories flooded my mind of this morning.
Everything Bakugou said and did show me how much he cared. Knowing just how much he did to protect me last night chipped at the stone walls I had forgotten I put up around my heart. Even when I constantly pushed him away he was always there.
"How's it coming?" Bakugou's voice bellowed through the open floor plan as he turned the corner into the kitchen. I was convinced that he was incapable of having an inside voice at this point as my smile deepened into my face. I tried to cover my mouth as his messy morning hair resembles a hedgehog but let out a slight giggle causing him to grumble a bit.
"What's so funny Pouty?" He sighed wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me in with one swift movement. My mind raced from all the events that had taken place in such a short span of time. Most importantly, the fact that we had kissed only hours ago.
"Just laughing at how beautiful you are in the morning" I smile wiggling my eyebrows playfully. Bakugou squinted his eyes down at me before kissing my cheek. I felt my body heat up with a familiar feeling as his lips left my cheek. The skin beneath it grew extremely blushed as I turned my face back towards the coffee pot in an attempt to hide. I watched as the droplets of coffee became fewer signaling it was almost finished.
"How do you like your coffee anyways?" I said changing the subject the best I could. The beep of the machine announced to me it was finished as I reached up on my tippy toes for two mugs in the shelf high above. I could feel Bakugou's oversized shirt lift slightly exposing my bottoms as I continued to reach.
"Black is fine for me"
Bakugou's body was standing behind me as his long arm easily reached for the mugs. His free hand rested gently on my left hip slowly guiding me back down to the ground. I pulled my hand down watching as he set the mugs in front of me on the counter with a cocky smile plastered on his face. He knew exactly what he was doing.
"Thanks, Bakugou"
"You know, you can call me Katsuki right?"
I turned around at him with a raised eyebrow. I wasn't expecting him to already want me to call him by his name just yet. But he had a friendly expression on his face that radiates warmth as I smiled up at him.
"Really?"
"I mean yeah, you let me call you Misaki right? That doesn't sound very fair to me"
I laughed pouring him his cup of coffee then mine before handing it over to him. Our hands brushed slightly as the familiar blush covered my face.
"Fine, Katsuki it is." I nodded taking a sip of the hot liquid. Bakugou's eyes remained intently on me. It was as if he wanted to say something but was holding back. I watched as his lips slowly left the coffee mug as it lowered down to the counter again.
"So, any big plans today Misaki?"
"Erm, no not exactly. May patrol later and then I promised my dad I would stop by at some point"
Bakugou nodded along with every word like he was taking it all in. As he nodded he brought the mug back to his lips taking another sip like some studious professor listening to a lecture of some sort. I paused for a moment taking in the way the morning sun hit his clear skin. A crooked smile went up the side of his face knowing exactly what I was staring at before he cleared his throat.
