You could put an ocean between our love,
It won't keep us apart,
You could build a wall,
I would run it up.{11}
Tony paced the room as he yelled into the phone, barking orders at one person while giving a statement to another.
"I don't care what you have to do, but you will get me that security footage!"
He was so engrossed with his demands he didn't notice Alice's eyes fluttering open as she laid still on the hospital bed. The all too familiar ache returned to her head while her vision adjusted to the light. She let out a groan in pain which caught Tony's attention.
"I want that footage as soon as you have it." He put his phone away before stepping over to the bed and sitting beside Alice. "What do you remember?" He asked, the blunt question was asked so softly in the manor a father would his own daughter.
"Um, not much," She exhaled looking down at her hands. "And I'm hoping you can clarify the blank spots."
"Tell me." He pleaded, placing his hand on top of her own in an attempt to calm the storm before if arrived.
"We were on top of the Empire State Building. We stopped a jewellery store robbery - I don't know how or how many where there, it's all blurry. Um, there were sirens and then there was a lot of pain. And-" She paused the recalling of the events at the realisation. "Peter. They took Peter." She tried to push off the bed but Tony forced her back down.
"Yes, we know."
"You know?!" She yelled. "You know that Peter's been taken and yet you stay here?! You're so calm as if Peter Parker isn't in danger?!" Alice sat up quickly but was once again stopped by a pulsating headache.
"It's only been two hours. The cops got there and pulled you out, they called me because of who you are and the fact there were spider webs everyone and no Spider-Man." He explained, standing up and moving to the end of the bed.
"Again- you're doing nothing. You said something about security footage?" She asked, not bothering to move because she knew about the headache waiting to strike.
"Whoever did this hacked into their system and deleted all traces of the footage. My team are working on breaking through the firewall and retrieving that but until then we need to start formulating some form of plan." Tony told her, not looking away from Alice for even a moment knowing she was completely capable of breaking free whenever she chose to.
"I have an idea."
"No murder."
"I no longer have an idea."
He couldn't help the slight tug at the corner of his lips at the girl. But he was pulled away from it as his phone buzzed in his pocket. Tony pulled it out quickly to see an email from one of his guys. It had no message attached just a two minute video.
