I backed away, my mind reeling. "What are you implying? That I'm mostly human with a sprinkle of alien thrown in there?" I sputtered out.

He had an amused look on his face, which made me want to promptly smack it off and start clawing his eyes out. I never knew that I could be so violent. Hopeful it would benefit me in the future. "Well Electra, you are not that far off. Tell me, what do you know about the Falco Penegrinus?" He asked me.

"I'm guessing it's a falcon that wants to be a penguin. " I snarled out. Sarcasm was my last resort on keeping it together.

"Good guess Electra, but no, it doesn't want to be a penguin. But it is a falcon and a bloody fast one at that." He said calmly, not affected by my oh so lovely attitude. It's time to step up my game.

My 'fight or flight' instinct was now starting to lean toward the flight part, but he looks fit, and extremely fast. I'm going to have to find a way to leave me without him leaving me dead in this meadow. "Ok, so enough with your 'games'" I snarked out, "Tell me why you are here and then go."

He glared at me, but complied with my wishes. "I was sent here to destroy you and Mr. Day Ward, and then go back to my life without a hitch. But I'm so tired of having to do everything exactly as they say, so I'm going to throw my own twist into this." He took three steps forward, and he was close enough for me to smell the dirt and musty scent on him. "I think you know what I am capable of, and that you know better than to push me. So hear this; I will give you and your little boyfriend 48 hours to run and hide. If you hide well, then it might save you... oh I don't know, maybe 5 hours until I find you and finish what I was sent here for."

"I don't even know why you want to kill me! And what if I don't want to play your games?" I asked, my feet itching to take me far away from this place.

He smiled at me like I had just given him a compliment. "Well for the part of why we want to kill you, you will find out pretty darn soon. And the second part of your question, you will go. Unless you don't mind your mommy getting hurt, do you?" He asked in a child-like voice.

It seemed like all of my blood in my body chilled upon hearing those words. He got me there; I can't let anything happen to her. Even if all of this is a messed up prank, I will still go.

I turned my back to him a strolled to the edge of the clearing, leaves crunching underneath my leather boots, and turned to him once more. "See you in 48 hours, give or take a few." And with that I was gone.

As I ran home, I had a jumble of thoughts bouncing in my head with each step that I took. Why had Count Dorkula come to me, and not Day? Out of the two of us, he seems like he would the most dangerous. I couldn't even kill the spiders in my own home because I'm so afraid of them. And why do they even want to kill us? I'm nothing special, and I don't think I ever will be. Day on the other hand, will probably end up curing cancer or ending word hunger. Heck, maybe even both, it wouldn't surprise me.

But the one thought that was dominating all of the others was; what am I going to do? Day isn't speaking to me, I think, and I have nowhere else to go. Fun times.

I didn't even realize that I was unlocking my front door until the smell of cookies reached my nose. I went into the warmly lit kitchen and saw my mom making the cookie dough for the cookies. I could have sworn I smelled the scent of the cookie like they were cooking. Huh, whatever.

My mom looked up and smiled warmly at me, "Hi, sweetie, did you get everything taken care of that you need to?"

Guilt gnawed at my insides. "Mom, I need to tell you something." I led her to the kitchen table and I sat down opposite to her. I played with a loose thread on my shirt and started to speak. "A couple of day ago Day and I were inject with a shot that we don't know about. And then when I woke up today, I noticed that I looked different, prettier. So I went and found Day and the same thing happened to him and so we went to the library to do some research, but we came up empty handed. We got into a fit and so I ran off and a guy came up to me. Mom, he said that he has come to kill Day and me and if I don't go and play his sick game of 'hide and go seek', then he is going to kill you. I have to go mom, He seems like the type of guy who won't let the police in his way, and he will come after me." I didn't give all of the nitty gritty details, she doesn't need them.

My mom looked at lost for words, the first time I have ever seen her like that. She seemed to have a breakthrough in her thoughts because she gasped. She shot her hands to grab mine and said in a shaky voice, "Was it Drake?"

What? "He never gave me his name, but he was tall and slender, with pale white skin and brown hair with black eyes." I said.

"No, no no no no... this can't be happening again, I already lost Drew, I can't lose my baby too!" She said muttering to herself.

"Mom, snap out of it. And what do you mean it's happening again?" I asked.

She looked up at me with tears in her eyes and said, "He is the man who killed your father, who was working at the Winchesters lab at the time. Drew never really talked about his work, saying that I wouldn't understand, but one day he did. You were about two at the time and he came home and started to pack all of our belongings up. He told me that we were all in danger and that he is coming." She took a shaky breath in and composed herself.

"We lived in a different house back then and the house was in a small, quiet neighborhood. So when your father told us that he was coming, I demanded an explanation. Life was going so well for us for once that I didn't want to leave it without a good reason. So he told me." Mom quieted and looked into my green eyes for any reaction.

She continued, "And then told me he was working for an illegal lab that was combining human DNA with animal DNA. I thought he inhaled to much second hand smoke or something, but before he could say anything else, Drake showed up and killed your father. Drew manage to distract Drake for you and I to get away, but when I came back to our house the next day, it was gone. The house, our cars, our money, and Drew."

I had tears streaming down my face by the end of her explanation, and mom had tears streaming down hers as well. Just as I was going to get up and hug her, we were interrupted by a knock on our front door.
