Remind me never to listen to Malik again. The traffic was horrible like everywhere was unnecessarily packed.

"I'm never listening to you again." I told him.

"Soorrrryyy, I didn't know." He winced.

"Take this street, I promise it will be free." He continued.

Malik POV

"Are you deaf? I-a-m-n-e-v-e-r-listening to you again, Period." Tahiry told me.

How was I supposed to know that Nalah was lying.

She was all like

"Malik when are you leaving?"

"Around 5, why?"

"Take the express way, it will help you get there quicker."

"O-kay." I replied unsure.

I cannot tell Tahiry about this she hates Nalah because she thinks Nalah is related to Aman. Like ,what harm can an innocent teenager cause?

Tahiry POV

"Just this once, I'm so tired, the cars here are not even moving." He said while yawning sarcastically.

YES SARCASTICALLY

Sadly, I agreed with him and I took the turn hoping I will not regret this.

"Again." Malik winced.

"More cops, this is bullshit." He continued.

There was another checkpoint. These cops don't get tired, do they? I looked closer and they were the same police officers from this morning but one more had joined.

I rolled down my glass.

"Look what we have here." One of them said.

We did not respond.

"Open your trunk." He added.

I bent down to click the button when Malik reached to the back seat to get something.

"Get down now." the other cop bellowed.

Are they actually doing this shit on purpose. I clicked the button and got down.

Aren't the police supposed to be nice. Protect us not endanger us. I'm actually so fucking tired of this shit

*Oh, why are they doing this? Because I am God damn black*

My skin colour does not define me for Gods sake. There are white people in this world that are more dangerous than me. Not all muslims are terrorists. Not all black people have guns in their back pockets and not all white people do drugs.

Why can't they just get it?

"The fucking hell." Malik screamed.

This guy ways raging.

I gave Malik a look which made him calm down a little.

Dad always said Mum died, but I don't believe that. I know she was killed by them. Mum hated the police. They killed her Dad and probably her. She talked to us a lot about them.

I remember those times she would make us sit down and tell us exactly what to do if we ever came in contact with the police.

"Tahiry, Malik, the world doesn't see us the way were are. We are not black our skin is. The world is going to judge you, throw you around and even kill you but never loose faith. If you ever get stopped by the cops for no reason, put your hand were they can see it, Don't read for anything, Do what they tell you to do." Mama always said.

Usually Malik was the one to question.

"But Mama that isn't fair." Young Malik said.

"Life's not fair."

"Tahiry watch over your brother  and remember, there are many other things going on in the world. Racism, Feminism, Gender equality, Sexism, Human rights, Sexual and physical abuse, Mental abuse. Don't fight it live it and earn it."

I never understood what that really meant but maybe one day I will.

We both got down from the car, Malik was literally the most stubborn kid I knew. The 3rd guy didn't really look like an officer but oh well.

"Close the trunk." I said fearlessly.

The officer slammed it down.

"What u looking at kid." He said giving Malik a look.

Malik rolled his eyes. He reached into the car.

*The hell is wrong with this boy, he really wants to die, I see that now.*

BOOM. BOOM.BOOM.

"Malik."

I attacked the officer with tears rolling down my eyes.

*Why won't Malik just listen.*

It was dark and the strange Man was on the phone.

"Boss, it is done." He said with a grin on his face.

BOOM

BOOM
