ALFRED was awfully calm while sitting behind his mahogany office table. Right after dinner, he dismissed everyone, leaving only the two men and myself to follow him to his private office. I made sure that there was a maid to tuck Liam in bed before I agreed to have a private meeting with the two men and the royal pain.

I was currently sitting on the chair opposite Alfred with the two men standing nonchalantly on either of my sides. Looking at both of them, I could only tell which kingdom the leaner one was from; Southern Kingtech. He had an unmistakably sharp nose, clean-shaven face and thick Auburn hair which was perfectly combed back. The only feature that made him different from the rest of the Southern citizens was his brilliantly green orbs that surrounded his retina.

However, it was hard to distinguish exactly where the much more muscular built one came from. He is what you may call very secretive. He looks as if he planned to stay that way by wearing a black clothed mask to hide his face and a dark gray jacket to finish his mysterious aura. His face was covered in the shadows of his jacket that I couldn't even see his facial features or the color of his eyes.

"Good evening," Alfred began, "I hope you all had a nice rest." I was close to rolling my eyes at his last statement but surprisingly, I didn't. It took my whole pride not to.

"Alfred, why am I here?" I was curious. His royal business was never mine and I don't like being included in them.

Alfred sat back on his chair, getting too comfortable at the unsaid situation. "This is a family matter, cousin."

I glanced at the two men besides me, inspecting their whole demeanor. Afterwards, I turned my full attention back to Alfred. "Why are they here?"

It took a while until he finally answered and when he did, I felt my anger beginning to climb it's way towards my mouth again for release. "They are part of it."

"Well then, tell me. What exactly are you planning?"

"If you didn't know yet, there is a new enemy out there. I don't know why they have been attacking here and trying to bring down its monarchs. I just know that they will come and we have to be prepared. I don't want the past to repeat itself."

"Are the rest staying here too?" I ask, not bothering to acknowledge his last statement.

"No. The rest of our family must return back to their villages to protect their residents. I've asked Finn to install sensors a few miles before each village to detect any suspicious movements," Alfred stated in his soothing Western Kingdom accent.

I knew it was the least of my worries but I was just curious, "Who's Finn?" Alfred motioned his head to my right where the lean male was standing a few inches away from where I was sitting.

It was the only time that the lean male acknowledged me. In his strong Southern Kingtech accent, he greeted me, "Princess." His sharp accent of the Southern Kingdom didn't surprise me, but the gentle and slow pace of it did. Usually, the intelligent citizens of the Southern Kingtech would talk in a quick manner. Sometimes, it is hard for anyone else not from that kingdom to understand them completely at first. It takes time to get used to and eventually, anyone could understand.

I had a very realistic theory of why Finn and the other male was asked to be present in the room. Strangely, it took me this long to piece the puzzle together. "Let me guess, these two men are here to guard Liam and I," I say nonchalantly. I knew Alfred would do something like this to try and protect his own family but I was far from flattered by his motive.
