ELLA WAS IMMEDIATELY slammed on her back to the ground. Her eyes were screwed shut, not wanting to see the outcome but because she couldn't stop her ears from functioning, she could still hear bullets continuing to fly. It only got worse by the second as her eardrums began ringing.
After a few minutes, the noise of bullets being fired had stopped and the heavy body that was on top of her got up. She lifted her head to see Satan standing beside her, holding his hand out for her to take.
As he helped her stand up on her feet, she saw Cap standing in the same position she left him a few minutes ago but his gun drawn towards the window instead. He was also facing and glaring out the window that showcased the exterior front of the house.
Ella too looked in that direction to see what he was looking at and was flabbergasted at the multiple bullet holes that were pierced through the walls in both directions, going in and out. Ella realised that Cap didn't try to shoot her but back at the people who shot into the house.
"Mofuckers always wanna test me!" he yelled.
Satan looked her over, presumably checking for injuries before turning back to Cap. "At least we ain't get hit, B."
"Them opps got a thing coming. How they even find out this new ass house?!"
Ella saw Satan biting his lip, then nervously laughed. "Oh, I might've slightly, like, tiny bit drove from the Trap directly here by on accident,"
Cap stormed forward towards both Satan and Ella, and punched him in the jaw. Ella's eyes widened as she promptly moved to help Satan.
After all, he did just put his life for her a couple of minutes ago when he plummeted on top of her.
Being put in a traumatic experience as such, Ella was close to erupting. This was the first time she was situated close enough to hear the subsonic rounds go off, as well as have the bullets aimed in her direction. Her sheltered self had never even been in a violent altercation, always having security behind her money and Ashton.
"Gettin' on my Goddamn nerves." Cap bit out as he stalked towards the door. She then heard him shout from outside the bedroom. "Get yo fuckin' ass, Ella."
Her brain was currently all over the place, coping from the shock. Instinctively, she obeyed without question and power-walked after Cap despite the fact that she never had treaded faster than her regular walking speed.
He hopped into his car that was parked in the garage. The garage doors were already open and as soon as she closed her doors, he took off.
Cap sped through the streets and she couldn't tell where he was taking her. The area was unfamiliar to her and to be fair, she had never travelled outside of her suburb when in New York before Christian's boxing match.
He eventually pulled over in front of a random house and put the car in parking. Ella looked around, thinking he was going out of the car to enter the house.
"Pass me the package under the seat." He said with aggression in his tone.
It snapped Ella from looking at the house and she did as instructed. Feeling under her seat a hard package, she retrieved it and passed over the flat cardboard parcel. He ripped it open and pulled out a letter and a key. Clearly disappointed that there were only those two items, he harshly shook the parcel upside down, hoping more items would fall out.
Ella remained silent, observing at him. He flung the parcel away vexedly, almost hitting her in the face with it. Cap tossed the letter and key into her lap and retrieved his gun from his waist again.
