"DAMN THIS ZAZA done went straight to my head!" KoKo yelled, holding the blunt whilst twerking into the air.
Turning to the front of the stage, Ella watched Star work the pole.
The entire room was dark with only flashy lights and a spotlight on her. Star was mesmerising to look at, easily capturing everyone's attention, and it didn't help that she wore a sequin bikini.
Ella understood why Cap was interested in her. Anyone with two eyes would be.
As mesmerising Star was on the pole, Ella was only interested in the guy leaning back on one of the sofas. She had remembered his face. Someone who had access to what she was looking for.
"I'll be right back," she briefly informed KoKo.
Walking away from their seat, she made her way towards him, she sat down beside him. The act alone caused him to raise his eyebrow with amusement.
"Can I help you, Mrs Cap?" he teased.
She wondered if she should beat around the bush and ask him straight up. She figured for the latter. "Can I have some?"
Ella saw her question had put off the male. "Have some what?"
"Molly."
"I didn't know you were into that type of stuff," he chuckled.
She continued staring at the man passively. If he wasn't going to get her what she needed, he was only wasting her time. Concluding that the man probably didn't have stock, she stood up.
Before she could walk away, he gripped her arm.
"Thirty for a pill,"
She turned her head to look back at him, then found herself slowly sitting back down beside him. Ella then fished out cash from her purse and handed him three hundred dollar bills.
"Your friends are lucky," he commented as he slapped a bag onto her palms.
Ella didn't find the need to correct him that it was all for her.
She gave a curt nod, before walking off to the bathroom. Swinging the bathroom door open, she stepped to the stalls.
It didn't surprise her the slightest when she saw two other females snorting a white line from the toilet seat. They didn't even bother to close the door.
Although she was desperate and itched to feel the same euphoria she felt when she first tried it, it didn't feel safe to take a pill now. And seeing the two females just confirmed her conscience.
The sound of the bathroom door opening, her attention was directed towards the sound.
KoKo was standing with worry in her eyes. She ran to Ella and gripped onto her shoulders.
"Cap will kill you. Kill me,"
The close proximity between the two females allowed Ella to see KoKo's vision was on her right hand. The hand that held the clear packet of pills.
Realising she didn't hide the pills as well as she thought, she slipped them into her purse.
"It's none of your concern, KoKo,"
KoKo's eyes widened in shock. "The hell it isn't! What are you getting yourself into? You're meant to be a preppy white girl,"
Ella took a step back, trying to get out of KoKo's grasp. "As I said, it's none of your concern. What I do and what I don't, it's none of your concern."
"You can't do drugs. You're meant to be good. You're meant to save him," she frantically shook her head.
No idea what KoKo was talking about, Ella moved to exit the bathroom and strip club.
Looking at Ella's back as she steadily walked away with pleading eyes, KoKo could only continue to hope that Ella would be the one to help get Cap back on track. She had seen it from the sidelines how bad Cap had gotten over the years, she hoped Ella wouldn't be another trigger. Just the opposite.
