Masters and Guardians Online or MnGO (some players say/read it as the fruit- mango) is an online virtual game created by the SilverProgram under the supervision of Future Tech. (Online Virtual Games are games that are played either by region (servers) or worldwide, by multiple number of players (unlike single-played virtual games)).

In this game, a player is regarded as a master and will have a guardian by random summoning. The guardians are classified according to race (human, beast, modified, myth, divine) and level (1-5 stars). The player will have a high chance of summoning a stronger guardian depending on the catalyst which can be purchased in the game's store (of course this is of high cost value). Free-to-play players are expected to have a low tier guardian but the game still depends on the player's tactics on the game.

The players will have a chance to change their guardian every first day of the year or by purchasing the re-summon scroll (again, of high cost value but can only be done twice a year).

The players can also customize their avatar to help their guardians in battles. Weapons, magic items, skills and spells are available to learn and possess (but of course, again, stronger one's costs high).

The rule of the game is very simple: If the Guardian dies, its Master loses the game; if the Master dies, the Guardian will also die and again, game over for the player.

Each master will be granted (only) five command spells (per event) either by calling the guardian immediately in an emergency situation, releasing its final skill or using a guardian's skill (except the final skill). The masters can command their guardians in any way they like to help them win battles. In the main event, one command spell will be recovered every after category won. Masters should be very wise in using their command spells.

The game has its HP, Mana and Stamina gauge bars for both the master and the guardian but it is only visible to the player. The bars for the guardian depends on its race and level but for the master, the basic is at 100%.

The main event of the game is called The Holy Book War. It is held every year in six months duration from May to October. The winner of the event will acquire the key to the Gate of Heavens to challenge the strongest guardian and win the Holy Book that can grant any wish. (The Holy Book War will be explained further in the next part).

Aside from the main event, there are also other events being held for the rest of the month and during the main event for the players that were lost in The Holy Book War.

The Weekly and monthly Medallion War (divided per bracket, per region) in which the medal can be exchanged for rare items or in-game or real money. Occasional events, daily quests, Guardian's story quests, Master vs Master challenge, and many more. The players can also create their own game- last man standing, team battles, etc.  and place their rewards for the winner/s (items or in-game cash).

The game uses both EarthReplicaGalaxy and VirtualFantasyGalaxy for its battlefield. The player is situated in a base (named per region) regarded as the last master of the era. The player will be assisted by the A.I. staff of the base. The base has the master's room for logging-in and out (during a battle, return to base is only applicable after losing or if the time for the round is up); training room; guardian summoning room; game store; conference, staff and commander's room; and the gate portal (in which the players can select the event they wish to join or the game they wish to play). Linked room can also be added (upon purchase) to meet with other players in whichever player's base.

The players are required to use their real name in the game.
