21 - Chapter XI

"In this round, there's a chance you will meet and fight the future agent assigned in this region." Arthur had a talked with Luke before the scheduled game for Round 4. "It will be your fight of the night! Haha! If and only if, there would be none of the virtual terrorists guys mentioned in the mission order." He added. "You're doing good so far. You've only used one of your command spell and that was replenished after winning the last round." Although Luke has two guardians, he still only have 5 command spells.

[System]: Welcome to Masters and Guardians Online Event: The Holy Book War. This is Round 4 in Region 8, South East Asia. Terrain- Desert. Victors of country: Philippines, Master Luke Martin and Guardian Crystal Fairy has joined the battle. Game starts in 10... 9....8...7...

[Z-One]: Good luck Nine. You're at the peak of your mission.

"Copy that." Luke replied, feeling ready for the battle. "P-Pero sobrang init ng terrain! Bakit sa desert?!?"

[Z-One]: Wag kang mag-alala, hindi ka ma-su-sun burn. Same pa rin ang gagawin. I'll send coordinates para maiwasan mo ang early combat. Mainit nga lang at buhangin lalakaran niyo. Libre nalang kita ng ice cream after ng round. Hehehe

"O-Okay..." Luke couldn't do anything but to agree. He moves from point to point to avoid getting caught in a combat. Dust scattered everywhere as battles go on. Suddenly, a thick fog appeared in the area. The thickness of the fog caused zero visibility. Luke stopped moving as he can't see anymore. He heard screams everywhere as if someone is getting murdered behind the thick fog.

"M-Master watch out!" Sakura yelled loudly. She pushed Luke away and parried an attack coming in front of him. A shadow of a person appeared in the think fog and disappeared.

[Yuna]: Sir! I detected a guardian nearby! Mist of the Night, Mystica. Race: Human, Level: 2-stars. She assassinates her enemies in the fog. Her master, Park Heung-Soo is a Korean university student. Nothing much of relevant information.

Luke asked Yuna. "Can you detect her exact location?"

[Yuna]: N-Negative... she keeps moving from one place to another. W-Watch out! She's approaching!

"Sakura, parry! Crysta, surround us with a wall!" Luke gave his orders to his guardians. Sakura was able to block the incoming attack. Crysta surrounded them with a wall. "Item use: Scroll of Wind!" Luke blew the fog with the scroll of wind. The fog was blown and a girl covered with mummy-like fabric was revealed. Only her eyes and her pony-tailed hair are the only parts visible. She's wielding two weird-shaped blades. "There you are! Surprise!" She immediately stepped back but she was stopped by the crystal wall. "Let's finish this! Crysta!"

"Yes master! *Crystal Blades!" Crysta was about to defeat Mystica but a huge roar of lightning was heard nearby. A sudden flash of super bright light followed. The crystal wall was broken and someone was thrown towards Luke. Mystica was able to escape.

[Yuna]: Sir. Guardian, Lightning Archeress, Lia. Race: Modified. She is a human but has a demi-God blood. Level: 3-stars. Her master is Aiden Lee. Information is classified. I need an approval for access.

"Wh-What do you mean?" Luke asked Yuna.

[Z-One]: Future Agent Gamer Anchores, Rank King, Team India. Siya ang representative ng Region 8. Mukhang mapapadali lang ang laban mo sa kanya ah.

Luke wasn't able to say anything. Lia started to stand up. She noticed Luke and she immediately stepped back. "Lia!" A nearing voice was heard. It's Aiden coming to Lia. "A-Another master?!?" He was surprised to see Luke.

[Yuna]: S-Sir! I-I've detected another guardian! Aurora of the Heavens, Aura. Race: Divine, Level: 5-stars. She is one of top guardians in the game. Her master... u-unknown...

"F-Five stars?!? S-Seryoso?!?" Hindi makapaniwala si Luke. "But what do you mean with unknown?"

[Yuna]: I'm sorry.. Her master don't have any information in my archive. I'm trying to access with different source.

"One? Anong meron?" Luke asked Arthur.

[Z-One]: Tsk. Mukhang nakatagpo tayo ng virtual terorrist. Nine, may gagawin muna ako. For the mean time, don't die.

"D-Don't die? Anong klaseng order yan?!?" Sagot ni Luke na may pagka-alanganin. Isang babaeng guardian ang naglalakad patungo sa kinaroroonan nila. Nakasuot siya ng parang wedding dress na may veil na kumikislap-kislap at may sword na very colorful. Different colors of light was left on her trail. Behind her is her master wearing a black cape with a mask.

As they got near to Luke, Aiden and their guardians, the master started to talk. "Players of region 8, congratulations on making this far! Though I'm sorry to say that I desperately need to make the last round. I think there's only four masters left. Both of you, me and the master of the mist girl."

"Who the hell are you?!?" Aiden asked. "I saw you defeated a guardian all by yourself! You even threw my guardian towards here!" In this game, the master can fight alongside their guardian but it is impossible for a master to defeat a guardian. Though Luke already defeated one in his previous battle.

[Z-One]: Watch out Nine, there's something off about him.

[Yuna]: S-Sorry, I've been sensing this for a while now. I'm not just sure.. but I think.. he is a guardian...

Labis ang pagkagulat ni Luke. "H-Huh?!? Isa siyang guardian?!?"
