17 - Chapter VIII

"Crysta! Rendezvous at starting point! *Item use: Scroll of Smokescreen!" Luke used a lot of those scrolls, throwing it to different directions while running, going back to where they first approached Luis. "W-We need to take down Melody first. Her singing skills will surely cause problems. But before that, cover us from the archer. Create a wall, tall enough to cover and thick enough to prevent penetration but leave a little opening at 3 o'clock enough for me to exit." Luke gave his plan to Crysta. "The every smokescreen lasts five minutes. We will use the terrain into our advantage. Sakura will create illusions of us to distract Sven and Aries while I will find the archer and you will take down Melody. Yuna! Identify the archer's location!"

[Yuna]: Yes sir! He's still on his last position 2 o'clock, 5 kilometers away. I will share his coordinates to you.

"Wh-Whoa... now that's a plan!" Crysta was impressed of her master. *"Crystal Wall!" Crysta surrounded them with a thick and tall wall of crystals. "I left a little opening as you have ordered."

"Good! Crysta, Sakura, let's do this!" Luke gave his last words as they will deliver their plan.

The two responded agreeably. "Yes master!"

Luke ran towards the little opening on the wall. He used increase agility scroll to increase his speed in running. Crysta approached Melody and Sakura made illusions of Luke and Crysta and brought them to Sven and Aries.

"So you will fight us first?" Luis asked Luke as they had appeared in front of them from the smoke. "Sven, release your seventh flame!" Sven's red flame on his staff has changed into violet. "Alam mo naman na siguro na ang color violet na apoy ang pinakamainit sa lahat ng kulay. Let's fight!" Sven started to attack Luke.

"So, ako napili mong unang kalabanin?" Charles asked Luke as Luke came out from the smoke in front of him. "From the moment you used smokescreen scrolls, we knew that you won't face us at the same time. Who would even do that? But you made a wrong choice of choosing me as you first target!" He added. "Aries! Showtime!" Aries started to attack Luke.

"So, nagtago ang master mo at ikaw lang ang pinapunta para kalabanin ako?" Chelsea said as Crysta came out from the smoke in front of her. "Pero in-fairness, ang sweet niya kasi ako ang napili niyang unahin." She added. "Melody!" Her guardian brought out a flute as her weapon.

"I'll finish this quickly so I can help master!" Crysta said to herself. She started to chant and use her skill. *"Crystal Valkyrie!" The crystals on Crysta's armor increased and glowed. Wings made of crystals came out of her back. Her sword became a lance with crystals and a shield, also made of crystals, came out of her left hand. She started to fly and attack Melody.

"So, you found us." Johnathan said as Luke appeared in front of him. "I commend you for your tactics. Smoking out our visibility and blocking it with a wall." He added. "But have you thought Arch can shoot arrows from the sky and still hit his target?"

"That's why I'm here to stop you both." Luke replied.

"Without your guardian?!? Don't make me laugh boy!" Johnathan laughed at what Luke has said. "You made yourself an easy target, fool! Arch! Kill the master!" Arch started to shoot arrows at Luke but Luke kept using evade master skill. "Damn, rich boy bumili ng mamahaling skill!"

"Ha.. Ha... Sh-Shet.. bakit ba ako tumatakbo?" Chelsea asked as Crysta is chasing her. Melody's tune makes the wind sharp enough to cut but if has no effect of Crysta's crystals. She did changed it into a violin to make her sleep but it has no effect. She did the heavy sound like what she did earlier but still, no effect. "B-Bakit walang effect ang skills ni Melody sayo?!?" She asked Crysta as Crysta caught up with her.

Crysta replied. "Simply because of my crystal barrier. It negates any magical attacks." She pointed out the barrier in front of her. It was a non-visible crystal barrier for magical attacks.

Chelsea was amazed a bit. "Oh really? Then why don't you try this? Melody, by my command spell, use your final skill!" She then ordered Melody to use her final skill on Crysta. 

"Y-Yes master! *Finale Skill: Last Serenade!" Melody used her final skill. She sang as different musical instruments came out and played by themselves. Everyone in a large area was affected- this includes Luis, Sven, Charles, Aries and illusions of Luke and Crysta. They were shouting as they hear a loud, irritating, ear-aching sound. Some fell on the ground covering their ears in pain. Luke, Arch and Johnathan were not affected because they are a little far from the area of Melody's final skill.

But still, it didn't affect Crysta. She's just floating still, waiting the moment for her counter-attack. "I-Impossible!" Chelsea said. Even Melody was surprised. She stopped her final skill as her mana is depleted.

"I already told you, my barrier negates any magical attacks." Crysta stated. "Now, my turn! *Crystal Blades!" A larger and well-defined than before, blades made of crystals came out, not on the ground, but behind Crysta. Those crystal blades hit Melody that caused her defeat.

"N-Natalo ako?" Chelsea disappeared a moment after her guardian was defeated. She lost the game.
