13 - Chapter V

Luke and Sakura continued to fight in the next games.. well, just two games and they are the victors of that town. They will now proceed to the next round - Round 2, province elimination.

"Are you worthy to be my mas— y-you?" Crystal Fairy was hugely surprised to see Luke in front of her in the summoning room. "Y-You re-summoned? W-Wait.. you can't re-summon while in the event... y-you lost?!?"

"Is that how you greet your new master?" Luke replied. "My answer is yes and no. I re-summoned but I didn't lost Sakura and we are still on the event. You might ask how did that happened but someone I knew made me able to command two guardians."

Arthur, with the help of Kisuke, programmed Sakura to be Luke's shadow since she was only summoned lately and unofficial to the game company (personally scouted and chosen by Dr. Stein). Meaning, it showed that Luke doesn't have any guardian. They bought a catalyst and made sure that it will be the Crystal Fairy once summoned. They replaced Luke's guardian in the registry from Corolla Shadow Blades to Crystal Fairy.

Right now, Luke has two guardians. Crystal Fairy will be the official guardian while Sakura (unrecognized as a guardian) will assist the battles.

"Th-Then I'm in your care... I'm known as the Crystal Fairy. You can call me Crystabelle. Th-Thank you for summoning me.. I-I promise to lend you my power!" She smiled as she was so grateful to be summoned by a master who made her realize that masters also have a role to do to win battles. Most of the players just command their guardians to fight and sometimes, just do support behind - like using spell scrolls, healing spells etc.. Players, who aren't athletic, martial artist or has knowledge on combat are afraid to fight alongside their guardian - the game doesn't provide physical attributes to the players.

[Yuna]: Guardian is Mystic Water Princess, Aquoa. Race: Modified. She is both a Human and Myth. Level: 3-stars. Was summoned last year as the first guardian of her master, Gerard del Campo, 24 years old, a regular employee. Aquoa is a water element user, both with a staff and spear as weapons.

After days to weeks of waiting, Luke proceeds to Round 2. He did the same thing as the other games he played. He waited until only one master remained.

"Ikaw pala yung kanina pa lumalayo, palipat-lipat ng pwesto every refresh ng location of masters. Takot ka bang makipaglaban o yan lang ang naisip mong strategy?" Gerard asked Luke as Luke showed up in front of him as they were the only one's left in the game. "Tutal, tayo naman na yung huling maglalaban, bakit hindi natin ito gawing kapanapanabik? Ako pala si Gerard. Ikaw?"

"Pasensya na." Luke replied very briefly. "Crysta, Let's do it!"

"C-Crysta?" Crystal Fairy curiously asked.

"That's what I will call you from now on. Para unique! Hehe."

"I-If you say so.." Crystal Fairy blushed as Luke made her a nickname out of her real name. "O-Okay then! *Crystal Blades!"

Luke started to attack with Crysta's skill. Blades made of crystals came out from the ground aiming towards Gerard and his guardian.

*"Master skill: Barrier!" Gerard used one of the master skills. Each master can learn up to five master skills that can be bought from the store. He protected himself and his guardian with a barrier but the crystal blades kept piercing through. Gerard's mana is slowly consumed by the barrier. "A-Aquoa! Do something!"

"Y-Yes master!" Aquoa raised her staff and yelled upon one of her skill. *"Water Spears!" Numerous spear-shaped water came out from a magic circle casted by Aquoa, aimed towards Luke and Crysta.

Crysta blocked the attack using one of her skill. *"Crystal Wall!" A huge wall made of crystals stopped the water spears. The splash of water made cracks on the crystals but it wasn't enough to break through. This means Crysta's crystals has a great advantage against Aquoa's water element.

Gerard's barrier was destroyed as his mana is depleted. The crystal blades went through and made damage to both of them. Aqoua tried to use water skills repeatedly to break the crystal blades but it didn't stop those from going further. Aquoa has about 50% HP left while Gerard has about 25% left.

"I-I see.. N-Nasa disadvantage nga kami compared sa skills." Stated by Gerard as he is coughing due to the damage he received from Crysta's skill. "Pero hindi kami nakarating ni Aquoa dito ng basta basta! Aquoa! Gawin mo yung secret technique natin!"

"C-Certainly!" Aquoa positively responded to his master's call. She, once again raised her staff. A huge magic circle appeared in the sky covering a large mass of the farmland terrain. Suddenly, it started to rain and as a second passes by, the rain gets stronger and stronger. *"Heavy Rain of No Senses!" There's no other sound in the surrounding but the loud noise of the rain falling from the sky.
