Eve knocked on the door carefully.
"Come in!" A familiar voice called.
She hesitantly opened the door, silently closing it behind her. Clint had his back to her as he splashed cold water in his face. When his blue hazel eyes met her greenish ones in the mirror, he froze,
"Evie?" He breathed raggedly,
"Hey Clint." She muttered shyly.
He stumbled towards her. Stuttering out incoherent words, she looked down at her feet. Waiting for him to yell at her. Only suddenly his arms were wrapped tightly around her in a hug she cautiously returned. He bent down to rest his head on her shoulder like he had once done when they were younger.
"I missed you."
She smiled brightly, bringing him closer.
"I missed you too Baby B."
He chuckled at the nickname. The two pulled apart, smiling at each other. Eve placed a hand on his cheek.
"You've gotten taller." She grumbled bitterly.
His smile widened, then faded a bit,
"So...Fury called you in? Are you..."
"God no, I'm still a mercenary. Nick knows I have issues with authority figures."
He nodded, looking glum as he sat down on the bed heavily.
"Good, good." He ran a hand over his face,
Eve plopped down next to him, not saying anything as she waited for him to start.
"Nat wouldn't tell me how many people I killed while under his control." He looked over at her, "Will you?"
"I can't give you an exact number, but if I had to guess. I'd say a fuck ton."
He snorted at her description.
"Sounds bout right. I didn't count while I was...compromised."
"You gonna be alright?"
He shrugged, "Depends." He looked at her, "Are you gonna stick around this time?"
"Clint..." She sighed,
"I know why you left. I really do, but I don't want to lose my sister again."
She wrapped an arm around his shoulder, bringing him closer once again.
"I'll...try...to stay in contact this time. I promise."
He held up his pinky, pouting a bit with his hazel blueish eyes looking more pathetic than usual,
"Pinky promise?"
She chuckled, locking her pinky with his.
"Pinky promise."
He smirked.
"My head hurts. Kiss it better?"
She shoved him off of the bed. Laughing at the satisfying thud he made, he groaned from the floor,
"Feel better?"
Clint flipped her off. Eve simply snorted at the evil look he gave her.

Steve walked in while Clint went to the bathroom. He was dressed in his full patriotic gear with a determined gleam in his eyes,
"Time to go." He stated
"Where?"
"I'll tell you on the way. Can you fly one of those jets?"
"Hell no, but..."
"I can." Clint nodded, drying off his hands.
Steve looked towards Eve in confirmation that Clint was on their side. She nodded firmly,
"You got a suit?"
"Yeah."
"Then suit up." He ordered.
Eve grinned broadly.

Eve knelt down on her bedroom floor, gripping a black container with glowing gold patterns. She had slid her belongings under there when Fury finally returned her it to her after realizing he couldn't get in it no matter how hard he tried. She placed her thumb over the biometric scanner, it flashed gold in acceptance and the two of the four locks clicked open. The top scanner lit up, but was coded in a lost language. With a simple code punched in, the case slid open easily.

Revealing a golden sword that had strange symbols down the spine alongside a gold leather belt she could clip it onto. Before putting on her weapons, Eve took out a silk, blood red sheath of cloth. Tying that around her waist tightly, where the steel emblem of the assassins symbol was proudly shown off to the world. She slid on her seemingly endless supplies of sheaths, throwing knives resting comfortably in their places. One of the last things she was willing to take with her was a specialized gauntlet. It was designed as a hidden blade but with a little something extra to it. She slid a ring onto her right ring finger before buckling the piece of armor into place. As soon as she clenched her right hand into a fist, the string that was attached to her ring tugged on a special mechanism that caused the single strip of gold metal to fold outwards. Forming golden circular shield. A sun delicately engraved onto the front. Eve smirked proudly, relaxing her hand, watching as her ancestors tech slid back into place. Still way ahead of the time. Finally, Eve also took out her signature sunglasses and slid them over her eyes. Striding to where her new team was waiting.

The team strode towards the Quinjet. A young pilot stood in their way,
"You are not authorized to be here..."
"Son," Cap interrupted with an authoritative voice, "...just don't."
Eve patted the kid's shoulder as she passed him. Stepping into the jet with her team. She checked her gauntlets before sliding on her sunglasses, holding onto the railing above as they took off.
"When we're out of sight from the Helicarrier, drop me off. I have somewhere to go before we do this."
"You really think this is a good time to go off on your own?" Clint sassed.
"Yes actually, I do. You gotta problem with that Baby B?"
Clint grumbled beneath his breath.
"Can you get back in time if we need you?" Steve asked.
The woman gave him a firm nod, "I fly faster than the speed of sound, I think I'll make it back in time to help if I push myself."
He held eye contact for a moment longer before nodding. Pressing the button that lowered the runway.
"Then you should probably go now."
She dove into the open air. Putting enough power to get to her goal in a decent amount of time.

Eve landed on the ground lightly, and smoothly started walking towards a small little trailer that had seen much better days. She came up to the front where the roof was extended for some type of ghetto ass patio. Yet, the blonde smiled fondly as she lightly touched a rusting yard chair. The door to the small trailer opened, revealing a man with dark skin and tired brown eyes that lit up as soon as he saw her.
"Evie?" He murmured, as if she would disappear.
She nodded with a full smile, instantly softening her hard features. He surprised her with a bit of super speed as he rushed to hug her tightly. The blonde buried her head into his chest,
"Hey dad."
He kissed the top of her head before pulling back,
"You look like you're goin' to war."
"You know how it is."
He chuckled as he led her inside, arm wrapped around her shoulders.
"So, what brings you to my humble abode?"
She smiled softly as she sat on the couch, him in the comfy lounge chair across from her.
"I think I found my Soulmate."
He looked visibly surprised at that. Eyes wide, jaw slightly slack.
"But, they're not from around here."
John Hancock shook himself out of his daze as he leaned forward curiously, brows furrowed.
"What do you mean by 'not from around here'? Is he, or she, from Europe or something?"
"He, and his brother...are from another Realm...in, Space." She grinned sheepishly.
His face molded into a mixture of confusion and something unrecognizable as he nodded to himself,

"So you're dating ET, great."
"And get this. I'm not sure if it's him or his flirty brother that's trying to take over the world."
"Who do I feel like this isn't the weirdest thing you've ever told me?"
"Dad..."
"No, no. I'm not done yet." He pointed at her with a raised brow, "What exactly are your options?"
"There's Prince Thor, God of Thunder who already has a girlfriend. Then there's Ex-Prince Loki, God of Mischief. Who is very single but as I've said, is trying to take over the world."
"Is he actively trying to take over the world?"
"Yep, should be on the news by now."
Her dad chuckled in surprise as he changed the TV to the news. The two watched as a huge Leviathan creature flew out of a portal in New York
"At least he's goin' big." He noted.
"Yeah, but pretty soon he's goin' home." She sighed, taking out one of her blades. Fiddling with it nervously.
John watched her carefully. Understanding what that fidgety Eve meant, and waited quietly.
"I...I think I should go with them. To, the different Realm."
"I'm sensing a 'but' here."
"But..." She trailed off, watching as her dagger dug into the couch cushions with ease, "I am scared about completely cutting myself off from my brothers."
"Clint is a grown ass man, wether he respects your decision is up to him. And Aaron, he loves you but, you two are so uncomfortably awkward I think something to talk about, like Space, would help."
She nodded, staring at the TV screen.
"You didn't come here for permission though, did you?"
"I need you to come out of retirement while I'm gone."
He grumbled bitterly but agreed none the less. The two watched the one Leviathan wreak chaos in the big city,
"That's your cue."
"I know."
The two stood. Hugging each other one more time before she moved outside and into the sunlight.
"Hey!"
Eve stopped, looking over her shoulder at her dad.
"I'll make a few calls. I'm sure a few friends of mine are itching to help."
She smirked, slipping sunglasses over her eyes before taking off. The ground trembling with the force she summoned. Hancock chuckled at the debris that rained down on him harmlessly as he whipped out his phone, calling for reinforcements.
