Tom
I thought my crush approaching me without being scared was crazy enough. But I was very wrong. It's walking around In public without being bothered that was even crazier. I never thought it possible.

I was currently wearing the sunglasses Tord had brought for me after the service. It was a very kind gesture and I know he's trying to help. I appreciate it so much.

It was weird that some people actually smiled at me. Tord warned me that some people, especially nobles were very snobby. Boy was he right however the "lower class" as he called them were very friendly and would greet Tord with big smiles and even greet me.

"You okay?" Tord nudged me. I smiled up at him and nodded. He smiled back and looked back forward.

We carried on walking for a few minutes before we approached a big white building with a dome on top. People were entering and exiting by the tens. It was really busy. I looked over at Tord with surprise on my face "this is your house!?"

Tord chuckled and shook his head "no this is my father office."

I nodded "oh okay." We Walker on before "wait your father!? We're going to see him!?"

"Well we're not staying here to see him but I left my bag, in his office this morning so I have to grab it." I looked at him with confusion "you see I was being tutored and he wanted to watch because he thinks I'm not doing good enough. He wanted to see if the tutor was good enough. I kinda stormed out when he commented about me getting a question wrong so he may be a bit angry." Tord scratched the back of his neck sheepishly.

"I see" I mumbled as we walked into the building. The entrance room was huge! I thought the cathedral was big but this place was just as big. There had to be at least a couple hundred people in here, some standing around talking, some sat waiting with newspapers, some being served at some booths. There was even people holding signs about something being unfair.

Tord led me straight past everyone and to a white staircase with a red carpet in the middle. We kept walking up the stairs until we were met with two doorways leading to corridors.

I was led to the left and down until we got to a door with 2 security guards stood by. They eyed us as we so approached but let us by anyway.

A lady sat typing away at a computer, almost aggressively. She looked very professional. Tord walked straight up to her and smiled.

"Ah Tord! How's my young man doing!?" She said just as she noticed him. She jumped out her seat and engulfed him into a hug.

"I'm doing good thanks. Is my father busy?"

"Yes. He's in a meeting right now. Feel free to wait." She smiled brightly at us and motioned to the sofas to the side, which we occupied for another 30 minutes.

A bunch of business men exited the room shaking hands and walking off.

"Tord." A man called standing by the door. He looked quite a bit like Tord just a lot...businessman like.

Tords whole aura changed and he quickly walked over to his fathers office. Once the door was shut I sat patiently.

"Are you Tom?" The lady at the desk asked.

"Uhh, yes I am." I answered.

She smiled brightly at that "ahh Tord speaks of you all the time. I'm Amanda, his fathers personal assistant. I hate to ask this but can I see your eyes?"

"What?" I asked scooting back a bit.

"Tord told me about your eyes and how they were unusual. I just wanted to see for myself but forgive me if I'm over stepping boundaries I understand if you don't want to." She replied with an apologetic expression.

I shook my head and slowly removed my glasses, blinking at the harsh bright lights. She slowly got up and approached me. This time I didn't even flinch when she reached out and touched my face "extraordinary."

I didn't know whether to be scared or happy that she accepted me. She seemed close to Tord, so her being okay with my features was reassuring.

Just then the door burst open and Tord stormed out. Backpack on. He came over as I quickly put my glasses back on and told me to come with him.

"Tord!" His father called but Tord ignored him and kept walking me following close behind.

He proceeded to quickly walk out of the building and turned to a quieter street. It was only then did I catch up to him and grab his hand. "Tord?"

He looked at me with an angry face before, grabbing me into a hug. I stiffened before returning it. Just as soon, he let go and carried on walking.

Where we walked to, was a very nice looking neighbourhood and I'm sure it was a lot sunnier in this part. Maybe it was just me imaging things.

Anyway, we went through a gate towards a grand looking house. The garden had gardeners tending to it who greeted Tord as we walked by.

"So this is my house. Well not my house it's my grandpas but we inherited it when he passed."

We walked through the door and up some stairs, straight into his bedroom which was just as grand as the house.

"You ever played a board game?" He asked picking up a box.

"No?"

I've heard of games but I've never really played any.

I sat down across from him at the table in his room as he set it up.

"The aim of the game is to buy as many properties as possible and attain the most money. Basically bankrupting the opponent/opponents." Tord explained.

"Huh, sounds easy enough."

After 2 hours, I sat triumphantly with my hands held above my head. Tord sat with a pout and crossed arms. "How even!? Are you sure you haven't played before!?"

"I'm very sure, I'm just a genius!" I smirked.

"Oh yeah?" He said slowly standing up, making me stand up.

"Yeah!"

He ran around the table towards me but I quickly ran out of the way. I laughed as he stood dumbfounded, then turned and ran over again. This time, successfully pushing me and making me brace myself for a rough landing, only to land on the bed. Tord hovering above me.

We were both laughing at this cliche position. I've seen movies. Our laughing quieted down until we were just smiling at eachother. His hand moved to brush a stray strand of hair out of my eyes and stared down at me. A blush rose to my cheek as he started to lean down. His eyes on my lips.

That was until a loud knocking noise sounded at the door " sir, are you decent?"

I looked at Tord and mouthed "sir" with a quiet giggle. He smirked and moved over to the monopoly game as I sat up.

"Yes I'm decent."

A maid opened the door and popped her head in. "Dinner is almost ready." She looked over at me "oh I wasn't aware you had company. I shall go and ask the chef to dish up another meal."

"Okay thank you." Just as she was about to leave Tord quickly asked another question "will father be joining us?"

The maid shook her head "no, he's still working at the office."

With that she was dismissed.

Tord looked sad for a moment before putting a smile on his face and standing "well shall we get some grub."

"Sure." I sighed getting up and following him down to where he delicious smelling food awaited us.
