Epilogue

Madelyn's POV: "Question," I said, "So if a kid's born to two half vampires who used to be human, will the kid turn out a vampire or a human?" Tom spit out his water, hitting Eric who was across the room.

"What?!" He panically asked. "What are you getting at Maddie?!"

"Great, now I'm covered in spit water." Eric interjected.

"Calm down Tom you know I don't want kids." I assured him, "I'm just curious. Like, I know we're both vampires now, but we were born human. Would the kid take on the human side or the vampire side?"

"Does it look like I know?" Tom asked, voice cracking, "Ask Billy he's older and probably has an idea."

"You calling me old?" Billy asked as he walked into the mansion.

"Well you are almost 1000." Eric chimed in. Billy just flipped him the bird.

"So what do I apparently have more knowledge of?" Billy asked.

"Say Tom and I were to have a kid." I explained, "With both of us being born human but turned to vampires, how would the kid come out?"

"The same way a human gives birth that's how." He joked. I rose my brow. "Honestly it's all chance in that situation." He continued, "When it's a pure human and a creature having a kid the human side usually takes over, with a few exceptions to that rule. When it's two creatures who were turned having a kid, it's basically random."

"All I wanted to know." I said, going back to scrolling on my phone.

"Why? You trying to tell me something?" He asked.

"No, I just got curious." I replied, "I've lived here for 23 years and no one's explained stuff like this to me."

"There you are I've been looking all over." Blackie said as he walked in.

"You know I live here now right?" I said.

"Yes I do smart ass." He mocked, "You said you were coming over like an hour ago but you're still here."

"Oh shit, totally forgot." I chuckled.

"Sure." Blackie said, plopping down next to me. His arm's still in a sling from the battle with Tobias. Guy broke his arm in three places. But other than that he's actually back to normal.

We spent the night simply hanging out and playing cards against humanity. Things have been going much better since Billy killed Tobias. My nightmares are gone and Tom and I are still together. He's still protective of me, but I actually kind of like it. It makes me feel safer. But I feel as if something's wrong again. As if someone's been watching me. I just shrug it off and keep going about life. I can't dwell on the past, I need to appreciate the present. I've got an eternity ahead of me now, and my dad won't have to worry about me dying young. Well, young compared to the other creatures. Plus, I get to stay youthful for life!

As we kept playing cards, I looked over at one of the windows. I swear I saw someone standing there. Looked as if he could be brothers with Tobias. Long black hair, eye makeup, and pale skin. But the moment I saw him he disappeared.

Oh well. It shouldn't be anything to worry about.
