Tom's POV: Madelyn is such a sweet girl. Damn it, I'm going to say it now: She's perfect for me. Only a human could love someone as dysfunctional as me. There's a lot that people don't know about me, and honestly, I prefer to keep it that way. It's personal stuff.

As I was walking back home, umbrella blocking out the rising sun, another vampire with an umbrella forcefully bumped into my shoulder.

"Watch where you're going. Christ." I said. They stopped in their tracks before slowly turning to face me. Anger welled up in my body when I saw him.

"Why hello again Tom." He said, black eyebrow arched.

"Tobias." I replied.

"Why so glum chum? Thought you'd be happy to see an old friend." He continued.

"Seems like you're getting better with the sarcasm." I said.

"So I heard you got a new girl in your life eh?" He slowly walked towards me.

"How'd you find out?" I asked.

"You know I know everything Tom." He replied, "Including the fact that Madelyn is mine. She's been under my thumb for years. I've been infiltrating her precious dreams and turning them to nightmares to get my way. But now that I know she's yours, well, that makes me want her even more."

"She's isn't mine yet. Why don't you leave her alone and go find someone in the human realm." I said.

"Oh no. I prefer this way." He said, "I always get my way Tom. And this won't be an exception. Madelyn will be mine soon enough, clearly by force. Then I can finally torture her for eternity. Someone like her doesn't belong here with us."

"Listen here Tobias." I said through clenched teeth. I was now only inches from his face. "You stay away from her. You better not hurt her anymore. And I swear to god I will make sure you are exterminated." Tobias smirked.

"Have a nice day Tom." He said before flying off. I have a bad feeling about this.

Madelyn's POV: I tossed and turned in bed as the nightmare continued.

"Get away from me!" I yelled, running down the hallway.

"You can't get away from me darling." He said as he rounded the corner behind me. As I turned the next corner, he teleported in front of me. I screamed before tripping onto the floor.

"Get away now!" I yelled, crawling backwards as to not take my eyes off of him.

"Or what?" He snickered, coming closer.

I quickly kicked his shin as a distraction. When he bent over in pain, I took off again. But within seconds, he was behind me again. His arms wrapped around me, pinning mine to my sides.

"Stop!!" I yelled.

"Too late." He growled.

"Madelyn!" Someone whispered. I yelled as I woke up from the nightmare.

"Who's there?!" I asked, panicked.

"It's me." They whispered again. I looked over at my window and saw them.

"Tom?!" I asked, confused. He was standing on the windowsill, an umbrella blocking the sun from reaching his back.

"You need to come with me." He quickly said.

"Why?" I asked, "You're aware this is weird right?"

"Look, you have to trust me." He said, "I'll talk to your father about this later. Please. You're in danger right now."

"Danger?" I asked.

"Don't listen to him darling." The voice from my dream called. My heart skipped a few beats. We both looked for the source of the voice, but no one was there.

"Madelyn please." Tom begged again. I hesitated because we've only been on one date, but I eventually gave in. He tightly held his arms around me, and we were at his house before I knew it. He hastily rushed me inside and shut the door.

"There you are." Jeff was on the couch.

"Yeah you called us here a while ago." Eric chimed in.

"I know but look, I'm here now, and we've got a problem." Tom said.

"Well what is it?" Fred asked.

"Tobias is after Madelyn." Tom blurted out...
