Chapter 9

[Third POV]

Damian rested against the door frame as he waited for Dick to speak.

(Y/N) walked inside the room and rested against the wall, her arms crossed.

"I know what you're going to say. Terra needs more training" Dick started while he typed on the computer.

"No, it's something else" Damian responded as Kori and Raven walked up behind him.

(Y/N) watched, confused. Did they all agree on this meet up?

"She knows" he added before looking over to Raven.

This caught Dick's attention, making him spin around to face them on his chair.

"Since we talked, I have sensed something off about Terra" Raven stated.

"She needs to be watched, Grayson"

"Woah, woah, what? You want her to be watched? As in follow her around, everywhere she goes?" (Y/N) spoke against the boy she loves.

Yeah, she loves him, but this idea was just stupid.

Damian's eyes widened a bit as he didn't expect his Beloved to go against him.

"What Terra needs is understanding, not surveillance" Dick stood up to make his message more clearer.

"Exactly. I love you, Wayne, but what if you're wrong? She'll lose trust in us" (Y/N) countered.

"Terra has her rough edges, but Kori thinks she's worth it" Dick paused.

He started walking up to his little brother who was only glaring at him for not understanding.

"And I agree" he finished off by narrowing his eyes at Damian.

"I do too" (Y/N) chimed in.

"We should all give her one more chance. She could improve, you know?" She added as she looked at her Beloved.

Robin stood straight and looked at his brother in the eye,

"Making decisions with your heart will get people killed"

He glanced over to the love of his life with a heartbroken look. He didn't show how upset he was that she didn't take his side.

So instead, he walked away.

(Y/N) just froze in place.

She knew that when he said his last words, he was thinking about the time where she almost died in the aircraft.

He still blames himself for almost losing her. If he hadn't let his heart take over, she wouldn't have gone through that close call.

(Y/N) sighed before leaving. Kori looked at Raven who was already leaving too.

Dick only kept his stern look while Kori stared at him.

(Y/N) was outside of Terra's room. She had to talk to her, thanks to the promise she made to Gar.

However, she heard mumbling.

"I really need to meet up with you"

"I don't think I can survive in this hell anymore"
