Chapter 15

[Third POV]

After the team reached the tower, they all tiredly went to sleep.

The following afternoon, after they all did the things they had to do, Kori and Dick were speaking about the situation in another room.

Dick, a bit paranoid to why the scientist had these photos of all of them, wondered if there was a huge reason behind this.

"Is it really a surprise they would study us?" Kori asked him who was observing the files.

"We've been defeating them for months" she couldn't understand why he would worry too much about these.

And you were after them even before that" she added, placing her hands on her hips.

"But this stuff is so in-depth" Dick replied as he maintained eye contact with her.

He lowered his head back to the papers on the table,

"Things on genetic make up. Theories on Raven's power. Beast Boy's too. And Beetle's suit. What's it for?"

"We need to get Robin back here" Kori stated.

"You know how stubborn he can be. Besides have you heard what happened between him and (Y/N)?"

She raised an eyebrow, leaning foward a bit. The question caught her attention.

"He broke up with her yesterday, through text. Through text!" He repeated, not believing it himself.

She was a bit shocked. The couple had been one of the strongest one she's seen. How could he just do that?

"I have to admit. It is a bit surprising. But that doesn't change the fact that he's a titan. He needs to be here"

Dick furrowed his eyebrows as he tried to think of a way to get him back.

Which he didn't know, was impossible right now.

[(Y/N)'s POV]

I laid my back against the wall as I looked at the others on the table.

Dick and Kori were speaking in the other room.

I slightly frowned as I kept my focus on Raven.

She spoke, "Nothing like laser-spewing H.I.V.E drones to take you out of a party mood"

"I'm beat and I'm making lunch at the center tomorrow" Jaime added.

I saw Gar taking his phone out,

"In more exciting news, I've been invited to be on Kevin Smith's podcast at Metrocon tomorrow"

If I was in the mood, I would be cheering for him.

Currently, I'm not feeling that way.

Raven followed Jaime behind to the exit of the room.

I quickly but softly grabbed her arm,

"Raven"

She looked a bit hesitant before sighing and nodding.

We started walking out.

"Hold up. Starfire's got something say"

I changed my attention to Dick and Kori. He rested against the door frame.

She smiled for a split second before it faded,

"With what we discovered tonight, we all need to be extra vigilant, and not take ANY chances"
