Today was the day when he would finally shift. And Daetrin did not know if he should be happy of afraid. However, he did not tell anyone that he was going to shift that day. He did not even tell anyone that he found his soulmate. Daetrin was giving out the orders of what needed to be prepared and where the pack will go to shift.

Werewolves believed that if they shift on the Blood Moon, they would grow stronger. And they also believed that everyone shifts on the Blood Moon. Even those who never shifted before. However, they all seemed to believe that Daetrin will forever stay human. No one thought that he would shift that night too. As he finished giving out the orders he turned around and saw Elois and Gehenna walking towards him. He raised an eyebrow but bowed a little bit in order to show them respect. Elois rolled his eyes at the action, but smiled at him anyways.

"Is everything okay?" Daetrin had to ask and Elois just nodded his head with a smile.

"I wanted to thank you. I realized that I did not do that before and I felt ashamed. I heard that you were the one that got the potion that saved my life. I also heard that you got injured while you were getting back here. Are you okay?" Elois asked him and Daetrin nodded his head with a smile on his face. He was loyal to his pack, to his Kings. But for some reason he was extremely respectful towards Elois and the man must have noticed that himself too.

"No need to thank me. I was just doing my job." Daetrin said and Elois looked like he was about to say something, but Gehenna interupted him.

"We wondered if you wanted to be with us tonight. We thought that you may not like being with the whole pack when you shift." Gehenna said. She seemed to be careful with her words and Daetrin nodded his head as he thanked them for the invitation and said that he will join them in the Royal Garden. Then he excused himself and went upstairs.

He sat on his bed and looked at the clock. Two more hours and the truth will be out. Preparations were all done and set up. Now he just needed to get ready for the big night. He wondered what his soulmate was doing. If he would be there tonight. If after he finally shifts he would finally answer his questions. If he would finally tell him which family he comes from. I hope that you aren't missunderstanding Daetrin Otis. He loved his adoptive family.

He was a proud Blackbourne, but he still wondered where he really came from. He still had all the questions other adoptive kids had. And there was nothing wrong with that. He had every right to know the truth. However, truth is what he may hate. Two hours have passed quicker than he thought. Daetrin got up from the bed and changed his clothes into something more comfortable and he slowly went down stairs. It was quiet in the house and outside.

The whole pack was at the lake now, celebrating the Blood Moon. The whole pack except for the few of those who stayed with Daetrin. He opened the doors and walked outside and into the Royal Garden where Sebastian, Elois, Enfys and Gehenna sat laughing at their own jokes. Elois noticed Daetrin looking at them scared and he waved at him which made everyone else see him as well and wave to him. He took in a deep breath and walked towards them and when he was standing infront of their giant table he bowed to them and then got up and sat down as well.

"Daetrin, how many times must I tell you to no longer bow to us? You are not our subject. We are family." Sebastian said and Daetrin nodded as he smiled and appologized. If only Sebastian Saga knew the truth. He knew what Daetrin was, but not where he came from. They began eating and laughing at their stories from the past. Daetrin even joined in on the conversation.

He even told them few stories of his own which made them all smile at him in support. As they were eating and drinking Daetrin noticed that it was getting warmer outside, but he said nothing for no one else seemed to be reacting to it. He looked up at the sky and saw that the Moon was red. He sighed and continued eating. They were talking for some more time when Enfys noticed that Daetrin wasn't well.

"Daetrin. Are you okay? You are sweating a lot." He said and that made everyone else turn around to look at the boy who just nodded his head as he looked down at his plate. Then he noticed that no one else thought that it was getting warmer.

"I don't feel so good." He said and Gehenna asked him what was wrong.

"My head... It hurts and my body feels like it's on fire." He said and then he put his head in his hands. Gehenna jumped up immediatelly along with Sebastian. Elois and Enfys just stood there shocked and not sure of what to do. Gehenna made Daetrin get up and made him walk a few steps until the boy fell on his knees as he gasped.

"It hurts. It hurts. Please. Make it stop. Please, make it stop." He said as he gasped again and when Gehenna went to touch his hand again she quickly moved away which caused Enfys to come near her. Daetrin was over three hundred years old, but he had never experienced the pain like this before and trust me....He knew pain well.

"His skin is burning." She said and soon after she said that Daetrin screamed silently as his skin became redder and redder. Elois closed his eyes and he felt bad for not doing anything to help him, but he couldn't. His screams, his pain reminded him of his own. When he opened his eyes he saw Sebastians' hand glowing with red color as he chanted and tried to make Daetrin feel better which helped him for a short amount of time, but soon after that the boy started screaming again and Elois took in a deep breath as he walked towards him. This may have reminded Elois of his own painful shift, but it also meant that he was the only one who could understand Daetrin. The only one who could help him was the Phoenix himself.

Sebastian looked up and was about to say something but Elois' hand stopped him from doing so. Elois kneeled infront of a man in pain and he put his hands on Daetrins's cheeks which made the man look at Elois. Elois smiled sadly and started speaking.

"You come from fire. No one can help you as much as I can." He said and Daetrin nodded his head as he felt his pain slowly fade away. He looked at Elois' hands and saw that the mans' veins turned dark red color. Elois moved his hands away then.

"I took away as much pain as I could." He said and Daetrin nodded his head in relief as he thanked him.

"Your brain feels like it's on fire, doesn't it?" Elois asked him and Daetrin nodded his head as he let a little gasp out of his mouth. Sebastian found the interaction interesting along with everyone else. Elois has never before showed this much sympathy. Not even when he was an Alpha.

"I remember what it feels like. You are trying to hold it back. Don't." Elois said again and that made Daetrin look at Elois in confusion.

"The pain. The anger. The rage. The hate you feel. Let it all out. Don't hold back. Let the fire out, Daetrin. It will be painful and tiring, but it will be over quickly. The only way that this could end quickly is if you let it go, Daetrin.I had no one to explain my power to me, no one who understood what the fire made me feel. But you are not alone. You have me. Embrace what you are." Elois said and a confused Daetrin nodded his head and soon after that his bones started cracking. Daetrin let the painful scream out and he looked up at Elois who nodded his head reassuringly. Daetrins' nose and eyes started bleeding and he was now in a position of a wolf. Elois cursed Fate for making him go through this. Somehow it seemed like the Fate had something against both Elois and Daetrin. He saw the wounds of Daetrins' body and listened to his screams of agony, but now he could not help him.

Few minutes later and few screams later Daetrin was gone and in his place stood a giant black wolf with it's eyes closed. As soon as his eyes opened the ground around him started burning. Had it not been for Sebastians' and Gehennas' quick reaction the whole grass would be burnt. The wolf looked at Elois who smiled at him kindly.

"If you wish to change back just remember what it felt like to be human." Elois said and the hound nodded. Few seconds and bones cracking later and Daetrin was human again, with his clothes still on. He was still on the ground, on his knees and he looked up confused.

"What the hell am I?" He asked and Elois smiled, but he could see a confusion on his face too. The last hellhound ever to live on the Earth was Jeremiah Parrish, the soulmate of Kali Sinclair. But Daetrin couldn't be a Sinclair, right? If he was everyone would know. If he was, he would have been in the warriors pack, not here. If he was he would've been Kalis' legacy and not Rayna. Right?

"A hellhound." Elois answered and Daetrin gasped as he looked up at the Moon. He was the Moons' creation? He was his soulmates' creation? The boy felt happy to finally know what he was, but he also felt betrayed, because the Moon never told him that he was one of his creations.
