2 years later...

Two years. Two long years. Ever since I have come to terms with Mom's death, the world has seen brighter. I am finally living. In the past couple of months, I have graduated with a Ph.D. in counseling, and Elijah and I are opening my own practice. He is going to deal with the business side of it while I actually do the therapy sessions since I'm the only one qualified to do it. We spent the past couple of months getting the building ready and naming our business. If you're wondering, the name is Live Life Counseling. Elijah taught me how to live my life again, so the least that I could do is teach others to do it too. We are having a party here tomorrow, since the day after that we are officially open and taking appointments. We are both keeping our current jobs until we know how well the business is going to do, we need a source of income, especially for something that is arriving in 7 months. I put the last box down in the lobby of the office and I feel someone wrap their arms around my torso.

"Don't overdo it please," he whispers into my ear. He puts his head on my shoulder as I open the box and I start to pull out decorative items.

"I'm not, I just want to make sure that everything is perfect," I say pulling out a scented candle.

"It will be, but we are telling everyone tomorrow, I don't want anything to happen to you or the baby," he says turning me around to face him.

"Nothing is going to happen to us, the doctor said that they are very healthy," I reassure him by placing his hand on my stomach.

"I know, but I am within my right to be worried." He moves his other hand and pulls me close to him so my body is flush with his.

"Okay, down big boy, we have work to do," I say patting his chest. His face drops and I give him a quick peck. We get back to work and finish setting up the offices.

Tomorrow...

Once everyone arrived, we let them pick and choose what they wanted to eat. People around us were drinking wine or alcohol that they had brought, but me and Elijah, we just stuck to water or lemonade. I know that Kate started to get suspicious, but too bad here 2 and a half-year-old boys decided to try and destroy the place. Finally, everyone gathered around for our announcement.

"First of all, we just wanted to thank everyone for coming out here today to celebrate the opening of our offices. I know that some of you have figured out that we may have had some ulterior motives for bring everyone together. So, from the Reed family, we are expecting Baby Reed this December," I announce placing my hand on my stomach. Elijah's hand is around my waist. Everyone erupts in cheers and Murphy and Kate run over a hug me.

"I'm so happy for you both," Murphy says.

"Thank you guys, it means so much," I say putting a hand over my heart. We continued to talk for a while and I was able to catch up with some other family members, but there is one person that I'm missing. My dad. I let Elijah know that I will be right back, and I leave wondering around until I walk into my office.
