I watched the leaves on your tree turn blue
I thought to myself
"Where did you go that I had to be without you?"
And the sun still sets and rises
And the moon still shines and cries
It's like without your smile, the whole world has gone blind
I tried and I cried for you
I bled and I pled for you
Where did you go?
You never even said goodbye
It's like without you, the world has lost its mind
It took so long to discover
Under the layers of ocean you put me under
Through fire and delight
Through heaven and fight
It wasn't goodbye, it was only goodnight
