"Why wouldn't they let me divorce her?" The King exclaimed out with annoyance.

He walked out of the Grand Hall with Minister Seo and Eunuch Kim after the court meeting had ended and the rest of the ministers had been dismissed. The other attendants quickly formed a line behind Minister Seo and Eunuch Kim the moment they exit the Grand Hall.

Today's court meeting lasted especially long. Before the King went in, the sun was scorching hot. And now, it is almost time for sunset.

Minister Seo glanced at the King who is walking in the front. "Your Majesty, if I may be bold to say, I believe that it will be a hard request."

"If Your Majesty really divorced Lady Jang, there's a high chance that there will be riots. A large portion of the civilian population thinks highly of Lady Jang since she frequently does charity on Prime Minister Kim's orders. Hence, they might resent you if you insist on divorcing her."

The King chuckled half-heartedly. "How smart of her to use the hearts of the people against me."

"It's a good thing that the court decided not to record any of this in the history book, Your Majesty."

"I am the King and yet, I couldn't do whatever I want." The King sneered at himself.

Minister Seo kept his silence, watching the King's lonely back view. He noticed the King stopped before the small flight of stairs. The King turned and looked at Minister Seo. "If you have anything on, you may go now." he said.

Minister Seo hesitated for a moment before nodding. "I will get going." he bowed. The King nodded, accepted his bow and watched Minister Seo walked away.

Seeing how their conversation had ended, Eunuch Kim walked up to the King.

"Your Majesty, I'm not sure if I should bother you with this small matter, but it seems like Cha sang-gung had gone missing."

The King turned. "The Queen's head attendant?"

"It seems like she had gone missing since five days ago." Eunuch Kim nodded. "Should we do something about it?"

Five days ago?

His Queen's favourite attendant had gone missing for five days and yet he didn't know? Now that he thinks carefully, the Queen did seem a bit down recently. Even when she smiles, her smiles were faint. She also doesn't talk as much as she usually does.

He blames himself for not realizing this earlier. He had been so caught up in the court affairs that he barely met the Queen for the past five days too. They only met once per day, during breakfast and that's it.

The King looked at Eunuch Kim. He wanted to blame Eunuch Kim for not telling him earlier. But then he couldn't, as the palace rules state that the King should not be concerned with the internal palace matters. Only when the internal palace matters directly affect the palace or the civilians, then will he be informed.

"Quickly send the best team to look for her. Find her no matter where she is." The King raced down the flight of stairs and rushed to the Queen's quarters.

Joy paced in her main quarters up and down. She just couldn't sit or stand still when Eunmin is still missing. It felt like her biological sister had gone missing. She just couldn't keep still until she found her.
