"Ok how'd you get the Martin Luther King to meet me?" I asked still in shock. It's the next morning and we're all sitting around Annette's room. "My moms friends with Jesse Jackson. We explained to him some of what you've been threw recently. Also how Martin is your all time idol and I wanted to cheer you up." Anne said with a huge smile. What's been happening recently?
Oh yeah. Meeting Dr. King completely took my mind off of things. I mean I got to spend the rest of the day with him. But now that I think about everything I couldn't help but get a little sad again. Annette saw my slight frown and frowned herself. "Oh I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought that up. You were so happy and I ruined it." She says. "No you didn't. I'm still happy I just thought about something. But thank you for setting that up for me. I really appreciated it and it helped a lot."
Anne smiles and nodded. "Hey I'm going to go look for Camila. I'll see y'all later." I tell them. They all say 'ok' and I leave the room. I make my way around the house looking for the Cuban. Looking in different rooms but I couldn't seem to find her. So I went to the living room. "Hey have y'all seen Camila?" I asked the adults. "She in the backyard sweetie. With Lauren." Mrs Clara tells me. "Ok thanks." I leave the room and go out back. Lauren was walking my way when I stepped out.
"I was just about to come get you." She says when she gets to me. "Oh what's up?" I ask. "It's just Camila is feeling sad. I guess she's finally starting to let her emotions out. I can't seem to get through to her. But I was hoping you could. Seeing your practically closer to her than I am." She tells me. "I'll see what I can do. I was looking for her anyways." I tell her. "Thank you Y/n. I owe you one." Lauren hugs me then goes inside.
