||Mackenzie's Pov||
I felt a sudden shake causing my body to rock from one side to another, " Time to wake up Mack ." I heard the voice of what sounded to be my father. "What time is it" I mumbled as I stretched and kicked off the bed sheets. "Its 8:30, your show starts at 11:00, get ready " He said then closed the door behind him. I began to undress myself and turned on some music.

Once I finished showering and getting ready, I put my hair in a low bun then walked downstairs finding a plate full of breakfast and a nice glass of orange juice resting in front of the plate. I rushed to finish my breakfast and placed my dishes in the sink and ran out to the barn. All of our horses had their heads poked out of their stalls. I walked over to Thunder's stall and put his halter and lead rope on leading him outside for a nice warm bath. After the bath I combed his mane and tail and braided his mane and part of his tail, then set the saddle pad on then the saddle and bridle. I strapped his girth to one side of the saddle then the other.
"Mack let's go get Thunder loaded in the trailer!" " Okay" I hollered back to my dad. I walked Thunder into the trailer and tied his lead rope around the bar double checking to make sure it was nice and secured, then shutting the trailer door behind me.

Once we got there I already started to feel the nervous-ness heating up my body. My dad dropped me off by the gate, and I got Thunder and walked him around. Many people were brushing their horses and practicing before the show. I led Thunder to a shady spot and made sure his mane and tail looked good for the judges. A few minutes after, my dad came and I told me to go practice before the show. I nodded and put my foot in the stirrup and pulled my leg over the saddle.
Once they called my number my dad came over and said "Have fun kiddo don't get hurt." I nodded and went to the arena. People starred as the bell went off causing Thunder to start. I took a deep breath and eyed each jump carefully softly speaking to Thunder, "Look at the jumps bud, look at the jumps."
Thunders hooves never met a pole to knock it down. He always held his hooves nice and high. From the corner of my eye, I saw my dad jog over to Thunder and I. He gave me a hug and told me that I did a good job. My best friend Jade came over and gave me a hug. She patted Thunders neck and told him what a good job he did then waved bye. I waved back and climbed off of Thunder an led him to the trailer. I secured his lead rope to the bar and shut the door then climbed in the truck.
Once we got home from what felt like years, I lead Thunder to the grooming area and unstrapped his girth from his saddle and took off the rest of his tack then hung it up. After I lead him to his stall and fed him some peppermints then closed the stall door. I head my dad call me from outside the barn, I ran over and supposedly my dad had the truck all started to go somewhere, I shrugged and climbed in the truck closing the door behind me.
