Zipping through the sky, Marinette painfully searched for a safe place to detransform. As soon as she did she crashed to the ground, having run out of time and strength to give herself a safe landing after defeating and capturing such an akuma. As soon as the girl's body landed on the concrete of the alley floor she quickly moved as fast as she could, having to let out a pained cry, to be able to catch Tikki. The poor kwami was exhausted from using her magic to have Marinette last as long as she did. She felt horrible that she couldn't do anything to heal the painful wound but Marinette was grateful nonetheless.

"Tikki, are you okay?" Marinette whispered, her voice coated thick with the desire to sleep. "Marinette, you can't fall asleep, I'm fine but you are not! We're only a street away from the park, if you start walking now you can get back there before the paramedics leave!" Tikki exclaimed worriedly, her voice being nothing louder than a shouted whisper.

As Marinette tried to move however it became quite apparent that she couldn't get back up, this being confirmed by the multiple cries of pain. "Hello? Is anyone in here? I heard somethi- Marinette!" A familiar voice called out as Marinette's consciousness faded in and out due to blood loss and her falling from at least ten feet onto concrete.

The poor girl was only able to mumble two things before somebody picked her up, "Tikki hide."

(Time skip OwO)

It had been a day since the rose themed akuma had been defeated. It had also been a day since anyone had seen Ladybug and Marinette. Everyone was worried, they had all heard about how Juleka's older brother Luka found their friend half unconscious in an alleyway bleeding out. Many people had even tried to visit her in the hospital, only for the doctors to turn them away and say that they couldn't see her at the moment.

Even though everyone was devastated they all couldn't even begin to imagine how much pain their friend's parents must have been going through. The bakery hadn't been open a single minute after the Dupain-Chengs heard of their daughter's condition and rushed to the hospital. The only people having been allowed to see her were Mr and Mrs Dupain-Cheng and Luka.

Luka hadn't been seen much if he had the chance to be by Marinette's side in the hospital room. This single fact seemed to drive Adrien mad with anger. He couldn't understand why but he didn't like how much time Luka got to spend with Marinette, even if she was unconscious.

There was a single ray of light for everyone though, and that little bit of sunshine was that they'd be able to see Marinette tomorrow. The doctors wanted to give her a day of rest before allowing anyone else to go and see her. Their entire class had already asked permission from Mr. Damocles to see if they could take a class trip to go and see Marinette since visiting hours were smack dab in the middle of class, to which he agreed to allow the students and teacher to go visit her.

Mrs. Bustier was already explaining that groups of two would be going in and visiting Marinette tomorrow so as to not over encumber her with a ridiculous amount of people in one room. Everyone would get ten minutes with her and then would be switched out with another group. If anyone left early then the amount of time leftover would be split between anyone who still wanted to see her and they'd get to go in alone.

Adrien wasn't paying much attention however, he was too busy thinking about two blue haired girls to be focusing on the way he'd be visiting one. On one hand he was worried for his partner, Ladybug. She hadn't answered any of his calls or messages. On the other hand he was worried about Marinette and if she'd be comfortable with seeing anyone at the moment.

It wasn't long before his thoughts starting switching to if she was comfortable with Luka being there so much, or if Luka had done anything to her that he'd talk to him personally. Soon, however, he couldn't help but imagine walking in on Luka, while as Chat Noir, making Marinette uncomfortable, causing the boy to be thrown out the window Adrien crawled into.

It wasn't until his thoughts were interrupted by an amused "Hey dude," did Adrien finally come out of his thoughts realizing that the pencil he was holding was snapped in half in his fists. "I don't know what's got you so on edge bro, or how you broke that pencil without using leverage, but it didn't do nothing to you man." Nino says with an amused smirk, trying to lighten up his friend's mood.

"Oh, uh, yeah. Sorry Nino, kinda just got lost in thought there I guess. Anyway I gotta go, Kagami and I have fencing class." Adrien said, getting up, grabbing his bag, and heading to the locker room. Nino sighed at the mention of Kagami. Everyone knew, except for Adrien of course, that it was his and his girlfriend's fault for Marinette to become a shell of her former existence.

While they knew it would affect her for a while they didn't think it would have this long of an effect on her. They didn't realize just how deep Adrien dating someone else would hurt her, and because of it most everyone had at least a small resentment towards his relationship. "That boy is blind." Alya comments while shaking her head, walking over to her boyfriend and taking his hand in her's.

~~~~~(Change Of Scene)~~~~~~
The sound of a soft laugh could be heard coming from the inside of Marinette's hospital room. "So are you sure that it's okay you're here? Don't you have class?" Marinette asks quietly and Luka chuckles. "Yes I'm sure, I already informed my school anyway and they said that I could miss a week as long as I came back in the afternoon to get my homework and schoolwork I'm missing." He informs her with a smile.
The smile turns into a frown though when a sudden pitter-patter could be heard from outside. Turning their heads, they both looked outside to see rain hitting the glass window. "Oh, I didn't know that it would rain today." Marinette says softly, staring through the window as Paris seems to turn grey under the heavy fall of the rain.
A slight hum could be heard from Marinette as she laid her head back and closed her eyes, enjoying the sound of the rain starting to pound furiously on the glass pane. "Like the rain then?" Luka asked, becoming amused from how at peace she seemed to be from the sound. Marinette didn't reply as she looked to the side, her eyes focusing on Tikki, who was currently hid behind a potted plant. While Marinette did enjoy Luka's company she did wish she was alone with her kwami.
Marinette had been saving bits and pieces of her food for her friend, sad that she couldn't give Tikki any of the sweets she knew the kwami loved. She could tell that her friend was hankering for something sweeter, even though Tikki would never admit anything. Tikki already felt horrible that she couldn't have helped Marinette recover from the injury, even if she would be getting out of the hospital the morning after next.
"Marinette? Are you okay? You've just been staring at that spot for a few minutes." Luka spoke up, his hand hovering over the emergency call button by her bed. Tikki gave her a small nod and Marinette turned back to Luka. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired." She said quietly and Luka nodded, apologizing for staying so long.
"I'll get going then so that you can sleep. Sweet dreams Mari." He said quietly and left, closing the door behind him.  It wasn't long after he left however that Marinette did fall asleep, after giving Tikki the best and sweetest parts of her lunch and a small conversation with her of course.
Once her head settled on the hospital pillow and Tikki was resting on her shoulder, Marinette was out. A dream of standing in the rain with Luka was awaiting for her. He was standing there, his black and blue tipped hair stuck to his skin from the rain, his hand held out as he asked Marinette to dance with him. She didn't decline, instead grabbing his hand as he twirled her in circles.
She would even admit that it was a fun dream! Just dancing in the rain with someone she knew. But she couldn't help but have the moment drop when Dream Luka said that he wished they could dance like this more often, and then leaned in for a kiss. Marinette turned him down, sayin that he was a good friend but thats all they were. Dream Luka got mad and threw her into the ground, calling her names and walking away furiously.
When Marinette woke up it was the next day and she was numb again, a distant look in her eye and a kwami never letting go of her hand.
