Chapter 6: Revenge

Its been a few days since Natsu and the others visited Cobra. Since then he's been in good moods throughout the days which aroused curiosity within Angel, who could clearly notice this from her cell across from his. "Alright Cobra, what're you so happy about? You gotta tell me!" He snickered and looked her way. "What do you mean? I'm just being normal." She sighed and pouted. "Ever since you had your little visitors... You've been in such a good mood. Tell me what happened!" Cobra decided not to draw her suspense any longer and told her everything that happened.

"You lucky bastard! I wish I could get out of here.." He figured she may have gotten depressed over the fact, which she did, but the curiosity looked as if it would really kill her. "That's why I wasn't gonna tell you.. You-" before he finished, she cut him off. "Depressed? Nah.. Just a little sad my talking buddy will be gone soon. Other than that, I'm happy for you!" Angel gave a smile, something she rarely did, seems like she was truly happy for him and Cobra returned the gesture with a smile as well. "Buttttt.... There's something you aren't telling me Cobra." She had a devious look on her face which sparked confusion for Cobra. "What are you talking about? I told you everything." She now had her face against the bars of her cell. "You like that guy.. Don't you? Natsu or whatever his name is." Cobra just sat there staring at her for a few seconds before he got a little heated. "W-What the hell... are y-you talking about!? I don't like him!" It took a few seconds for his brain to process what he said before he answered. Angel was now in a fit of laughter from his nervous response. "I knew it! Anyone could tell from your expression a while ago... You smiled like a big idiot in love when you mentioned his name!" Angel continued teasing him until he turned his back on her and went silent.

Angel spent an hour trying to get him to talk but he wouldn't. After a few more minutes, Lahar, a councilman came in. "Angel and Cobra of Oracion Seis, you have a new guard taking over starting today." The two looked at over to him and saw a man standing beside him. He was tall, buff and had a scar over his closed left eye. "Don't give him any trouble." Lahar then departed, leaving the three of them. "So Mr. Guard, what's your name?" Angel asked receiving just a scoff from the guard. She knew exactly what that meant and didn't bother speaking with him anymore.

The area fell into an awkward silence as the two laid in their beds and the guard man'd his post. The night finally came. Angel was already asleep, but Cobra was still awake, staring out of the window and thinking. The guard came up to his cell and unlocked it, hearing the cell opening up Cobra looked and saw the man walking towards him. He sat up quickly only to be grabbed by neck by the man. "Finally.. I finally got my hands on you.. Scum." He tried to break free from the hold but, the man was too strong for him and he was unable to use magic. "What...what are you..talking about.." Cobra, now gasping for air, asked. "I'm not surprised you don't remember me.. It was years ago." He took Cobra out his cell, choke hold and all, and headed down the quiet hall to a small room. He threw him into the wall, now gasping for breath and in some pain, Cobra looked up and saw an angry expression on the mans face. "You're the cause... Of my left eye being taken out, your the cause of my wife being dead!" Cobra didn't really know what to say, he didn't know who the man was or what he was talking about. "Now I'll get my revenge.."

It was now morning. With a stretch and a sigh of relief Angel got up and went to her mirror that was hanging up. "So glad these guys have some class, at least I can still look good even in prison!" She began fixing up herself, when she noticed something off with Cobra. He was in the corner of his cell, with a sheet over him. 'He felt like sleeping on the ground or something?' She thought to herself shrugging it off. She would ask him whenever he wakes up.

Twelve noon had come and Cobra had yet to wake up. "Dam.. He never sleeps this long.. What the heck is up with him?" She asked walking over to her bars and looking at him. "Hmmm Co-" She paused immediately when she saw what looked like blood on the dark covered sheet. "Oh my... Guard! Guard!" In the day time they always had different guards so, it wasn't the rude one from the night before. "What's going on?" The guard asked running in. "Look! Some happened with him... Please get him out of there!" The guard looked over and quickly took out his keys and unlocked the cell. He got in and removed the sheet to see that it had a large blood stain on it and he noticed a large cut across his right eye. "He's needs medical attention now!" The guard took out a small Lacrima and immediately called over a medic team. Angel didn't even know what happened with him, she had gone to sleep leaving him just fine! "That guard..." Then it occurred to her, that guard was pretty rude to her yesterday, did he have something to do with it?

It was late afternoon, after the medic team took him out the cell, Angel hasn't seen nor heard from him or heard about his condition. "I hope he's alright..." Just then, Lahar came to her cell. "Angel.. Regarding Cobra, do you know what happened here?" He was being rather considerate, figuring that since they were both Comrades​, they were friends, which is so. "I.. I don't know.. When I went to sleep last night he was fine.. Just staring out the window as usual.. This morning I saw him on the floor but it looked like he was sleeping... When. I saw it getting late and he didn't wake up.. I figured something was up and.. I noticed the blood." "That's when you called the guard..." Angel shook her head, but was still unsure of how it could have happened. She could only think of one way this could have happened. "I think I know.. Who did it.." Lahar looked at her curiously. "Who do you think it was?" "That new guard. He was so rude to me last night and.. He seemed upset after you left." Before Lahar could say anything, another councilman showed up. "Captain Lahar! Cobra's visitors from last time are here again.. What should I tell them?" He started thinking, before Angel made a request. "Let me go and talk to them.. I'm sure they could help!" They both looked at each other before nodding. They unlocked her cell and escorted her to the meeting room for visitors.

This time it was only Natsu and Lucy, Gray and Erza were on another job while Happy was somewhere with Carla. When Angel walked into the room, they were surprised to see her. "Angel? What are you doing here? And where's Cobra?" Lucy asked while Natsu just stood there with his arms folded. She wasn't sure exactly how to tell them but... "Cobra was attacked last night.. He's currently receiving medical treatment." The two simultaneously expressed a 'WHAT!?'. "What do you mean attacked!? Why would someone attack him here in jail!?" Lucy worriedly asked receiving a grim look from Angel. "Where is Cobra now!?" Natsu asked bellowing (as usual) obviously angry. "Even I don't know. Just know he's fine... He's being taken care of." Lahar said stepping up beside Angel. "Why wouldn't you know!? Aren't you some high end official!?" Lahar raised his hand. "Keep it down and listen..." Lucy made a few attempts to calm Natsu down, succeeding after multiple tries. "The people allowed here are the guards and myself.. Which means it was one of the guards that did this." "How do we know it wasn't you!?" Natsu got angry, again. "I had the past day off.. I haven't checked in since, if you don't believe me you are free to check for yourselves. But that's not why we're telling you this." Lucy raised a brow in confusion. "We want you to help us catch the guy. He may also come after me since me and Cobra were both Oracion Seis members." "Hell yeah we're gonna help! I'm gonna beat his ass so bad he'll wish he was never born!"

So this is it for this chapter. Its a bit shorter than the rest but meh, didn't think I should drag it out. Enjoy it! :D
