A Different Outcome (HIATUS, BEING REWRITTEN)

Chapter 4: Departure

Natsu and Zero were engulfed in fierce battle. One not giving the other even a second to breathe. Natsu had rested Cobra beside Jellal sometime during the fight in order to keep him safe. Still unconscious and all, Cobra began having a dream.

Cobra was walking through an open field. There he saw a group of figures sitting down, eating and making merry. He wondered who they were and walked over until to see that, it was his family. His family when he was still little. His mom, Dad and older sister. They all beckoned for him to sit down and he happily did so with a smile on his face. His figure then changed to the age he was before his parents' death.

On the outside, Natsu and Zero's battle was in its final stage as time was running out. The time they were all given to simultaneously destroy the Lacrima's neared. "I'd better get ready.. Any moment now." Gray said as he created his Ice Make: Canon and aimed for the Lacrima.

"Its almost time." Erza reequipped swiftly into her black wing armor and focused her remaining magic power into her sword. "Natsu... Please make it in time!"

Ichiya had arrived at his Lacrima but was still tied to the log and was tired. "Its almost time.. I.. I have to.. Destroy it.." He tiredly said before somehow wriggling out a tube-like container with his secret weapon. "Feel the power of parfum!" He threw the container down and it broke, releasing the parfum. As he inhaled it, his body grew muscular by the second and he broke free of his restraints.

Wendy, who was in the room containing the 6th Lacrima, was concentrating herself. "Release the power.. Of the Dragon within." The area began windy as her magic power began to surface.

Lucy and Happy were at the room of the 3rd Lacrima, but there was a problem. She had no magic power left to summon a spirit. She contemplated using her own body to destroy it before a certain twin doll-looking spirit appeared. "We heard your love for your spirits and decided to help." Lucy smiled happily seeing that Gemini was now on her side. Transforming into Lucy, Gemini got out Loke's key. "In about two more minutes, we'll take it down!"

Jellal had regained some mobility and sat up, leaning against the wall he watched as Zero crushed the ground and they fell through, this would hopefully be the last attack. Time was almost up. Natsu gathered all his strength and gave Zero a mind crushing punch to the face which had him unable to move while mid-air. "I'll finish you now!" Bellowing and bringing forth his full power, Natsu began casting a new secret art. "Magic power fully released. New Secret Dragon Slayer Art, Crimson Lotus: Phoenix Blade!!" Natsu headbutted Zero, soon his magic began inflicting damage as he crashed through the multiple floors they had fallen down. Natsu's magic was now in the form of a fiery Phoenix as he crashed into the Lacrima thus destroying it and the defeating Zero at the same time.

The others also had perfect timing and simultaneously got the Lacrima's destroyed. Following the few explosions and the stopping of Nirvana they all cheered at their success. Natsu on the other hand, rushed over to Cobra who was near Jellal. He began shaking him. "Hey!! Cobra! Wake up!" He repeated and repeated but to no avail. Before he could do anything, the structure began to crumble. "Shit! We have to get out of here!" Natsu picked Cobra up and had him on his back as he and Jellal tried to escape.

Nirvana had returned to rubble, everyone had escaped it in time but Natsu, Jellal and Cobra were nowhere to be seen. "You think they made it out?" Lucy asked now worried about there safety. A few minutes passed, then Hot Eye suddenly appeared out of the ground with The three of them in a bear hug-like hold. "Love shall prevail, yes?!" They were all relieved to see them to be safe. After being put down, Natsu once again tried to wake Cobra up. Yet again, he failed. He stood with his fists clenched. Wendy, not noticing what happened, ran and gave Natsu a high five for saving her Guild. Natsu just stood there, not moving or saying anything. Wendy had thought she did something wrong. "Natsu-san... What's wrong?" Natsu looked over to Cobra and explained everything to happened to them. The mood went from a cheerful one, to a depressing one.
