A Different Outcome (HIATUS, BEING REWRITTEN)

Chapter 7: Denied.

School and work have been hectic the past week and a half.. But I finally got this done! Hope you all enjoy it!

It was now night time. Natsu and Lucy both devised a plan, along with Lahar to catch the guy who assaulted Cobra. It involved Natsu being transformed into Cobra, and staying in his cell for the night. "Now Natsu, you're gonna have to have a much different personality than you usually do.. You can't screw this up!" Lucy coached as she fixed up his clothes. Thanks to transformation magic, he was the spitting image of Cobra, even had his voice. Just not the personality. "Yeah yeah, I know Lucy relax. I got this." He looked in the mirror and saw his transformed image of Cobra and smirked. He figured he looked pretty dam good.

Lahar walked into the room they were with a few other guards. "This is my personal team that has been excluded from the suspects list. We'll be escorting you to your cell now.. The guard from last night will check in at any moment now." Natsu spun around and wore a serious expression. "Let's go. I'm gonna clobber his ass!" Just as he was about to pass by Lahar, he was stopped. "Listen.. We need to catch him in the act.. So you must play along until he actually starts assaulting you.. Then you'll be free to attack." Natsu groaned at that, but nodded understanding.

They escorted him to Cobra's jail cell, Angel was fooled at first and thought it was Cobra. "Cobra!? You're alright? What ha-" She was silenced by Lahar who informed her of the plan. "Right.. My bad. Well listen pinky.. This guy is really rude.. He won't even answer you so just be quiet until its late and he may strike." She explained as Lahar walked off. He headed off with Lucy to the Lacrima Security room, they never had a reason to turn on the security camera lacrima in the prison cell rooms, until now. Luckily, they weren't noticeable because they were small and floating, almost touching the ceiling. The guard had arrived to his post on time, it was 8:01pm. He looked over at Angel's cell where she was reading a magazine, when he looked over in Cobra's own, he looked surprised to see Cobra there, laying down, looking outside the window with his hands behind his head. He looked over and saw the mans expression then turned his back to him. 'This is gonna be hard.. Just doing nothing until he tries something!' Natsu thought to himself before hearing Angel. "Hey Cobra, I'm gonna go sleep early tonight. Good Night." He didn't know how to respond, he just voiced a 'Yeah, Good Night' back at her which caused her to mentally sigh. 'At least he's not screwing this up.' She may have said she was going to sleep, but in fact she was pretending to sleep, just to see if he would make his move.

It was now 9:30pm, Natsu had fallen asleep, unintentionally, the guard noticed and made his way over to his cell. He unlocked it and went inside, grabbing him by his shirt, he took him out the cell and walked down the hall. Angel, having noticed from pretending to be asleep, waved her hand in the air, as a signal to the ones watching through the security Lacrima. "There's the signal,  let's go!" Both Lahar and Lucy ran out of the security room and headed for their location.

The guard who had Cobra (Natsu) had gone way down to a part of the jail cells that were unused for years. He went into the one to the far back and threw Cobra (Natsu) in causing him to groan in pain and wake up. "What the hell.." He rubbed his head but as soon as he looked up, he fell silent. He completely forgot about the trap. "How?" Natsu looked confused, as usual he was clueless as to what the man meant. "How are you so.. Undamaged? And why is your eye still intact?" Natsu was still lost, but then it came back to him. He was still transformed as Cobra, and he had to trap this guy. "I.. Got it healed... What do you want with me.." The man seemed displeased and took out a small object from his pocket. "Well, looks like I'll have to carve it out again!" Upon hearing that, Natsu prepared to attack. "Fire Dragons.... Huh!?" His magic wasn't coming out to his fists. "Looks like you aren't the real Cobra.. No matter, for deceiving me.. You'll pay!" The man kicked Natsu in his stomach sending him into the wall. "Gahhh.. Dammit.. Why did that hurt so much.. And why I can't use my magic!?"
