Chapter 21: The Date

The fateful day had arrived. The day of the date between the two. Natsu and Cobra. Natsu had gotten up earlier than usual. It was just 7am, and he was already up. "So.. In 12 hours me and Erik are gonna be out to dinner.."he mumbled to himself as he got up out of the hammock that he slept in. Happy was still asleep, and he didn't wanna wake him so he got dressed quickly, and went out. He wondered what all they would do tonight, what they'd eat. The annoying memory of him and Gray's conversation kept flashing in his mind.

Flashback~

"You're gonna be in public flame wad, so don't eat like some monstrous idiot like you usually do. Eat like a person for once." Gray told him, which got him mad. "Shut up. Not like you do any better." "I can in public though, unlike you." He teased him back with an evil smirk. "Fine, whatever." Natsu simply agreed, not wanting to embarrass Cobra on their night out.

End~

"Its gonna be hard but.. I'm gonna have to eat... 'normally'.. Well. No use in worrying about it. I'm sure everything will be just fine." He concluded, heading over to the guild. He planned on waiting the day out until time for the faithful event.

The two had met at the guild at a later time, didn't do anything special besides hang out for a bit, mostly spent time with others since they'd be seeing each other again. It was now 6pm, and Cobra had just disappeared from the guild. Natsu noticed this around 6:13pm, and decided to head out due to the time. Gray followed him to help him get ready while he sent Erza and Lucy to make sure Cobra was prepared.

They arrived to Natsu's place rather quickly, and without wasting any time, Natsu took himself a shower and got dressed. Gray didn't have much to do. Just making sure he didn't screw anything up.

Natsu wore a short sleeve Pink Polo shirt that matched the color of his hair, long tan colored cargo pants, and white sneakers. It was simple, yet cool. Of course he had on his scarf around his neck. He never parted with it. "Looking good, pinky." Gray teased, but Natsu ignored it. He got used to being called something in reference to his hair color. "You sure this is okay?" Gray sighed. "Yes idiot. For the 100th time, you look great. From in the store you've been questioning the outfit... Just relax." "Alright alright.. So now what?" "Now what? We wait. Cobra said he'd be here at 7, and its now 6:58."

Just as gray spoke, knocking could be heard coming from the door. "Well. Most likely him." Natsu went to the door, with Gray right behind him. Opening it, he saw Cobra standing there. Cobra wore a fitted black jeans, a long sleeve crimson red shirt and a black and red stripped vest, along with a pair of black shoes. Natsu was just staring at him, loving every part. "Dam. Its like we're opposites.." Cobra thought as he checked out Natsu's outfit. He loved how it looked on him, but Natsu's own was pretty bright, while his own seemed pretty dark."You look great. I love the outfit." Cobra finally said, bringing Natsu back from whatever daydream he was having. "T-Thanks..! I love yours too! You never change when it comes to red.." He commented laughing a little. "Favourite color. Anyways, shall we get going?" He asked, stepping out of the way and holding out his hand. Natsu blushed a little before taking his hand and walking out. The two left the house, holding hands.

It took around 15 minutes for the two to reach the restaurant for their date. It was indeed packed, but they had a reservation so there were no worries. You can thank Erza and Lucy for not forgetting such a thing. Before going in, they checked in with the attendant by the door, who then escorted them to their table. They were guided to the second floor of the building where, only a few people were and seated near a window, that had a view of the town. It was now night, so the lights looked pretty thoughout the town. "Nice view huh?" Cobra commented looking out the window, Natsu nodded smiling. "Yeah! Looks nice from here.. But I prefer a different view." He smirked hearing his comment, knowing exactly what he meant. "Compliments already huh? You don't waste time." Cobra commented, his attention turning back to his handsome date.

Maybe 5 minutes after they were seated, a waiter came and took their orders, and left within a minute. They were served drinks before the main course came. The two had been talking and getting to know each other a lot more than they did already. The date was a success so far. Once Natsu would eat civilized.

Cobra hadn't wasted anytime to start eating. He was indeed hungry, however stopped when he saw Natsu not eating. "You alright? You're not eating anything.." He asked, concerned. The fact that Natsu wasn't eating when given food was surprising. "No... Nothing.. I'm just not really.. hungry." He replied, blushing slightly and looking away. Cobra easily caught wind of his lie, or heard it in his case. "You need to lie better.. You don't know how to eat like this.. do you?" Cobra asked, making the blush on his face darken. Bingo. Cobra smirked before moving his chair over. "Sit on my right. I'll just have to feed you."

Natsu's face became fifty shades of red. "H-Hell no! I can feed myself!" Natsu countered. He was about to attempt to eat, but Cobra grabbed his arm. "Listen.. You know you can't eat like a proper person, and the only thing you'll end up doing is dirtying yourself. So just come over here already." He spoke in a serious tone, hoping that would get the message across. Natsu hesitantly gave in. Since they were sitting at a round table, he moved his chair over to the right side of the table. Not too close, not too far.

He brought his food and drink over as well. Cobra smirked before moving over a bit. He then took up Natsu's knife and fork, and began cutting and slicing up his food before feeding it to him. "Open up Natsu." Still blushing slightly, he did as he was told. He took and chewed on the food before swallowing. "That wasn't bad.. Now was it?" "Of course it was! What the heck am I?! 6?" "If it means I get to feed you.. Then you are 6 for tonight." Natsu grumbled to himself, before taking more of the food Cobra brought to his mouth.

From the few people in the same room, a couple looked over at them and commented on how cute they looked. Pretty soon, the entire room was looking or glancing over at the couple, watching as Cobra fed Natsu. Natsu could tell they were being watched, and felt even more embarrassed however, Cobra didn't really care for the attention. As Natsu chewed and swallowed on the last of his food, Cobra unexpectedly kissed Natsu. His eyes shot open wide, but quickly closed as he got into the kiss. It didn't last too long. Cobra smiled at him. "I enjoyed that, and I know you did too.. So next time don't be difficult. Besides.. You aren't too old to be fed by your boyfriend, right?" "Sh-Shut up!" The other couples laughed at little, a few women saying that he was being a 'little cutie'.

Soon after the two were finished eating, two waiters came along. One who took away their plates and such, and one who brought desert. It was a Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate swirl on the plates given to them. They took it and immediately dug in. "If you eat it so fast you'll get brain freeze Natsu." He just brushed his warning off. "Ha! I'm a Fire wizard remember? The cold doesn't bother me! Especially something like this." Natsu responded with a smirk, making Cobra shrug his shoulders and finish up his ice cream.

The two sat and talked after eating for a little bit. Basically about the food they had, and the desert. Natsu enjoyed it mostly, he especially enjoyed spending time with Cobra. "Its past 9pm.. You ready?" Natsu nodded as he made a stretch. He was indeed full, and enjoyed his night here. "Yeah.. but who's paying for all of this?" Cobra waved for the waiter and asked that they get the bill. The waiter then quickly left. "I am smartass. Of course this wasn't going to be free." Natsu was about to answer back, but the waiter had already returned. "Your bill sir." He placed it down on the table in a small black book. "You can wait for it." Cobra took out his wallet from his back pocket and paid for it, in full. "You can keep the change." The mans smile grew a bit as he picked up the book with the money. "Did You enjoy your time here?" "Yeah we did. Enjoyed it a lot." Cobra replied as he and Natsu got up. "Let's go." "Yeah!" The two were guided to the door by the waiter and bid him farewell before leaving.

"That wasn't so bad.. Now was it?" Natsu said wearing a wide grin as they walked. Cobra chuckled a bit before grabbing his hand. "Nah, it wasn't. It was pretty fun actually. Especially the part where I had to feed you." He replied, giving Natsu a devious smirk. Natsu blushed once more. "S-Shut up! That was all your decision!" "And you obediently followed? We definitely know who's going to be the more dominant one."

Cobra sweat dropped when Natsu didn't understand what he meant. "You're so innocent..." Natsu gave him a confused look, before he could ask what hr meant, Cobra answered for him. "You'll find out exactly what I mean... When we get to your place, Natsu."
