As Khaibi got into school she noticed two things, one: Dean was not waiting for her by the door as usual, and two: Tony was standing there instead smiling at her. Well, this was a new development.
"Good morning, Khaibi," Tony said politely. It seemed he, at least, was in a good mood.
"Good morning, Tony. Do you know if Dean's here yet?" Khaibi asked him as she walked into the building, putting her parasol down as she always had to do every morning.
"No, I don't and I don't care," Tony said coldly and walked off at a fast pace, leaving her standing alone by her locker. What the hell just happened? Nope, good mood gone.
"Hey," Dean said as he approached her cautiously.
"Hey, are you feeling ok?" Khaibi asked as she shut her locker and turned to face him. She had picked up immediately that he looked visibly exhausted.
"Um... Yeah, bad dream," Dean told her as he collected his books from his locker.
"Oh, me too. Couldn't sleep for hours," Khaibi confessed. Then she noticed that he was behaving strange, it appeared it was something she had done.
"Look Khaibi, I am really sorry but... we can't be friends anymore. Don't ask me to explain, because I can't. I am really sorry," Dean explained as he turned to walk away, his expression pained.
"No! You can't do this to me. You're the only real friend that I've had at this school. Please, please don't do this," Khaibi pleaded as she got him to stop walking and face her. Khaibi didn't understand why she was doing this, wasn't isolation safe? Wasn't it best?
"Then tell me something, do you love me or Tony?" Dean said as he avoided asking the real question that he wanted to ask her.
"I-I'm not looking for a boyfriend at the moment," Khaibi said with a confused expression. She always had a way of knowing if the person was lying or avoiding something, just not what it was, one of the many perks of being one of the supernatural.
"Fine, see you around, Khaibi," Dean said bluntly and walked off leaving her wondering what she'd done wrong.
"Fine! As if I need you anyway!" Khaibi shouted at his retreating figure, she'd act as if she didn't care, "What is it with the male species?"
Khaibi knew how dangerous it would be to get involved with a human, it could spell the downfall of her kind.
"Ha! Looks like you're all alone, no friends at all," Lacy said cruelly as she appeared from behind her.
"Shut up!" Khaibi said threateningly her eyes going jet black. Khaibi really didn't need this right now.
"As if you had a chance of ever having friends," Lacy continued to push in her annoying voice. Khaibi was incredibly close to snapping.
"Shut up!" Khaibi screeched as she whirled around to face Lacy. The action made Lacy flinch for a second before recovering her composure.
"There is no way that that girl who visited the other day was your sister or that Dean would like you over me; you're too ugly to be-" Lacy started to say but go no further because she suddenly found herself pinned against the wall by her throat.
"Don't you dare, say anything bad about my family," Khaibi hissed in Lacy's face as Lacy struggled to draw her breath, "You will regret it."
Lacy suddenly found the obstacle that was obstructing her breath gone and no one in sight. Khaibi had strangled her? A quick look in the mirror confirmed it, she had red marks around her neck.
