Once everyone had gathered Shade began introductions.
"Hex, come meet Khaibi," Shade waved the first one up.
"Good evening, Khaibi, it is my pleasure," Hex said kissing her hand.
"Pleasure is all mine, Hex," Khaibi replied, curtsying and grinning.
"Anima, you're next," Shade said as Hex took his seat.
"I can tell, we're going to be great friends," Anima bounded up to Khaibi and gave her a hug.
"I hope so," Khaibi smiled back.
"Azrael, you're up," Shade said, watching Azrael's reaction as he shrugged and walked up to Khaibi.
"Hello, Azrael, it is nice to meet you," Khaibi said holding her hand out.
Azrael said nothing but pulled out a shuriken and threw it at lightning speed at Khaibi. The rest of the group gasped but Azrael and Khaibi were smiling. This confused everyone else.
"Nice reaction time, Khaibi," Azrael said, shaking her still outstretched hand.
"Thanks, Azrael," Khaibi replied, still smiling, then she chucked the shuriken back "Oh, Azrael, you forgot something."
"Thanks," Azrael caught it and put it back in his pocket.
"And you already know Spark and myself," Shade concluded as everyone sat down.
"Why exactly is it that you have called us here?" Hex looked up from the book that he had opened.
"I have called you here because I wanted you all to see Khaibi's powers," Shade said, sitting on a chair to the right of the group.
"Why this particular vampire?" Anima asked, glancing at Khaibi.
"What I tell all of you now is not to be repeated to anyone outside those gathered here today, everyone got that?" Shade said, a grim expression on his face.
"Yeah, we know. Now what is so special about her?" Hex slammed his book shut, his patience running paper thin.
"Khaibi, please introduce yourself," Shade leant back in his chair with a grin.
"Hello everyone, I am Khaibi Katana and the reason that you are here is because I have the powers of all the ancient vampires that first walked the earth and am now wanted by the royal coven," Khaibi sat cross-legged on the floor and smiled at everyone.
Everyone wore identical looks of shock and surprise. Most could not believe that Shade had actually brought a Katana here. The Katana's were really well known throughout the Hunter network, and not just in Ember, but all around the world. Even confronting one was dangerous, let alone bringing one into known hunter grounds. This could endanger them all.
Azrael was the first one to speak.
"That ... actually explains quite a bit."
"You're the youngest Katana?" Hex asked, setting the book aside and looking over his glasses at her.
"Yeah, that's me," Khaibi smiled, getting to her feet.
"What are your powers?" Azrael asked, leaning forward on his chair.
"Thunder and lightning, I have visions of the future, I have telepathy, I can communicate with animals and I can control my transformation state," Khaibi listed her powers, counting them on her fingers as she went.
"Can you demonstrate all of these?" Anima asked, now curious.
"Are you sure that you want me to do that?" Khaibi asked, the smile disappearing from her face as quick as it had appeared.
