"Khaibi, you're home!" Myst ran out of the kitchen as soon as she heard the door, then froze, "Who is that?"

"My name is Shade Ghoul," Shade greeted Myst.

"Ghoul? You're a Ghoul?"

"Yes, he is the older brother of Dean," Khaibi explained, waiting for the explosion that was sure to come.

"HE'S A HUNTER?" Myst screamed.

"Here we go," Khaibi thought to herself as Markus and Ava appeared in the room.

"Khaibi, glad to see you are well," Ava greeted her daughter and then turned her gaze to Shade.

"Khaibi, you have all of your possessions?" Markus asked, even though he could read her thoughts, Khaibi guessed that he was not concentrating on her thoughts.

"Yes, Father," Khaibi waited, something was going to happen.

"Who cares at this point? Let's just rip the hunter to shreds," Myst said impatiently.

"NO!" Khaibi yelled, despite having seen what happened she was still scared.

"Khaibi, he is the enemy, he will kill us!" Myst let her claws grow and her fangs sharpen.

"Myst, he'll not harm us," Khaibi calmly reassured her sister.

"How do we know? What proof do we have?" Myst was becoming frantic, the longer this hunter was here the more danger she saw her family in.

"We're the proof," Khaibi gestured between Shade and herself. Shade had gone very pale, despite being a hunter he was still in fear for his own life.

"NO! If he stays here we'll all be in danger. I have to illuminate the threat," Myst explained then lunged at Shade who still had not moved.

"NO!" Khaibi screamed and placed herself between Shade and her sister.

Myst caught Khaibi on the arm and threw her across the room so that she smacked into the wall and caught her head on the hangers that were on the wall.

Khaibi could feel the small trickle of blood going down her head and then looked to inspect the deep gashes on her arm.

"Khaibi!" Shade ran to her side and examined the wounds.

"Why did you do that you fool?" Myst stood in front of them with her arms folded on her chest, looking like she wanted to comfort Khaibi but lecture her at the same time.

"Because I didn't want his visit here tainted by rage and pointless anger," Khaibi shouted.

"I don't understand you," Myst shook her head, "Why protect a hunter?"

"Because he means us no harm."

"What exactly is your business here? Why are you accompanying Khaibi?" Myst asked, confused.

"I am making sure my date gets home safely," Shade stood his ground.

"DATE!" Monica roared, "I'll rip you to shreds."

"Myst, that's enough," Markus thundered. Clearly it had gone on long enough.

"Father, why?" Myst whirled round to face Markus.

"Myst, it's clear that he holds feelings for her and her for him," Markus sighed.

"Father, it is dangerous for a hunter to be with one of us," Myst protested.

"Let's just see what comes of it," Markus dismissed Myst's worries and smiled at Khaibi. Shade still looked as if jumping out if the window was a good idea.
