As Khaibi made her way into the house she was feeling worried. She had just killed the second person in 1 week, and it was only Wednesday!
"She was a hunter, though, I was within my rights. She attacked me," Khaibi muttered to herself as she walked to get herself a drink.
"Khaibi? Is that you?" Myst asked as she walked into the kitchen with a bewildered expression her face.
"Yeah it's me," Khaibi replied as she turned around, exposing the blood stained jeans that were ripped and the t-shirt had fared no better it had many holes and rips both front and back, the shoes survived, thankfully as the ones she wore were her second favourite.
"What happened?" Myst asked as she led her sister upstairs to get changed and confess what happened.
"There was this new girl in school and I thought nothing of it but, oh, how wrong I was. She was a 'reporter' doing a piece on the school and its students. I talked to her a lot which I found nice because most people avoid me now; she seemed to ask a lot of questions that only someone experienced would ask. How could I have been so stupid?" Khaibi rambled on as she looked past her sister and out of the window.
"What are you talking about?" Myst asked sternly as she grabbed her sister by the shoulders and looked straight in her eyes.
"She was a hunter, she worked for a large hunter family, I never found out who she was or who she worked for," Khaibi explained, and lied a bit, as she pulled her sister's hands off her shoulders before they left marks.
"Why?"
"She was trying to kill me!" Khaibi exploded as she found her most comfortable jumper and sweatpants.
"Oh," Myst said as she made her way to the door. "I shall leave you to rest now."
Myst closed the door and hurried to their father's study on the other side of the house. As Myst burst through the door of the study Markus was waiting, chair turned towards the door.
"Father, I believe that you owe me a new laptop." Myst said breathlessly as she sank into her favourite beanbag with a grim expression on her face.
"What happened?" Markus asked surprisingly calm.
"She killed a hunter who tried to kill her at school," Myst summed her sister's tale.
"A hunter?" Markus spat as he leaned forward.
"Yes a hunter and this has upset her very much so be tactful in your questions. I think she knows who the girl was so if you ask the right questions then she might tell you," Myst said as she left the room to go brief her mother Ava about the new event.
"This is bad..." Markus mumbled, "The Royal Coven will want her. Any hunter killer is wanted there. My own daughter... to be an assassin."
As Markus knocked on the door he heard the turning of book pages, many pages being turned at once.
"Can I come in?" Markus asked as she was halfway into the room.
"What do you need from me? I have nothing to say to you at the moment." Khaibi said grimly, not taking her eyes off the books that now littered her bedroom floor and every available surface.
"The hunter, who was she?" Markus asked as he moved a book about hunter weaponry off a chair and sat down on it and closed the book.
"No! You lost my page!" Khaibi cried as she snatched the book and flicked it open to the page again.
"Who was she?" Markus thundered as he looked her in the eyes.
"I don't know, I never found out!" Khaibi screamed as she slammed out of the room.
