As I finished cooking that last of the waffle batter in the waffle maker I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I shouted, knowing that it would be Link.
He walked in and whistled.
"You're more beautiful everyday."
I giggled and kissed his cheek.
"Is your family home?"
"No," I replied, sad that they were busy on my birthday. "My parents are working and my sister had a marching band thing going on today."
"Oh, I'm sorry Lily."
"It's okay..."
"Want some waffles?" I asked.
Link's face lit up.
"Yes!"
I handed him a plate and he piled three waffles on it, drenching them in Maple Syrup. I took two for myself and we sat down, enjoying our waffles.
"So," Link started. "I heard you like flowers."
I grinned, "Yeah."
I didn't like flowers, I loved flowers.
Link ran outside and came back, holding something behind his back.
"What is it!?" I asked, excited, hoping he had flowers.
He revealed a bouquet of pink Star Lilies, my favorite flowers!
I gasped. "Link! I love them!" I exclaimed.
I wrapped my arms around him.
"I love you so much."
"I love you too!" Link embraced me.
I held the Star Lilies, admiring their bold colors. They were perfect.
I reached for Link's hands and spun him around in a circle, giggling.
If your my girl spin me around your room with feeling
and as we twirl the glow in the dark stars on your ceiling will shine for us
as love sweeps over the room cause we tend to make eachother blush.
