You walked next to Farkas. The man was happy as you've ever seen him to be at your side. He wouldn't stop talking, since you and Vilkas came home. "I can't believe you've been home for four whole months already! I'm so happy you and my brother are back." You smirked, knowing that there was no guesswork with your brother in law. It was refreshing. "Sorry we haven't found a way to call a dragon yet."

"You have nothing to be sorry about." You spoke calmly. "It's not as if you've done it."

"I'd be lying if I claimed I didn't wish for you not to- ya know, to spend more time with us."

You looked to him, smiling a little. "You've done nothing wrong nor selfish. It's not as if we've been loving our life away from the hall. We've missed you." His brows rose, then you chuckled. "Yes, every single day. You're his brother and mine. I missed your positive outlook, your fortitude. What we're doing takes a toll on ya. Grinds you down fairly easily."

"[Y/N], you're just simply the best!" He clasped his hand on your shoulder, you laughing just a little.

"Well, thanks for going to Winterhold with me. I know how you feel about magic, but the library there is vastly superior to ours. I'm going to expand it whenever I actually get the time. And you know Vilkas, ready to shoulder the world for someone he loves. I didn't want to pull his nose out of the books we do have."

"Yeah... I get ya." He chuckled. "Farkas has always been like that. I'm glad he can fuss over someone that's not me now. It's not that I don't love the guy I just don't need him as much as I used to." He cleared his throat. "No need to thank me. I could always use a walk to clear everything out of my head. Thank you for letting me make statements like that without teasing me."

You laughed. "No reason to. You've been nothing but kind to me. I can tell you pretty much anything without worry, so I want to return the favor."

"Heh. Awesome." He looked to you. "Besides. I don't mind mages as much- now. Not all of them are bad. Some are like you."

"Well jeez. Good to know I speak for an entire profession in your eyes. No pressure, right?" You joked. Your eyes were forward, there was a silence between you for a moment. You cleared your throat. "Umm... Farkas...?"

"Yea?" He looked to you with the goofy smile.

"If I tell you something, do you think you can keep it from your brother?"

"Will it put him in danger if I don't tell him?" You thought for a moment before shaking your head. Farkas nodded softly. "Then yea. As long as it's not you rushing off to do something reckless again. The last time that happened..."

"Don't-" your hands flew into the air at eye level. "Remind me. I was dumb back then. I was the ice brain. It's not that. I'd never go without him or you. Aela is a maybe." You chuckled. "It's just I've been afraid to tell him. I don't quite know how he'll react. You've known him longer..."

"But you know him better." Farkas stroked his chin. He stopped, tugging you to a full stop as well. You shivered, looking into his kind eyes. "You should never be afraid to tell your husband anything. Guy loves you. Wouldn't shut up about you when you were gone." You blushed softly, with a smile on your lips.

"Thanks for the confidence." You took in a deep breath, centering yourself. It took a moment to work up the courage but you started to remove your chestplate.

"Whoa! Whoa! Wait a minute here!" The alarm in his voice apparent. "I don't think of ya that way! You're my brother's wife. Even if that weren't the case, he loves you, I'd never do that to him. And I... well I'm kinda sweet on a girl... right now." He was so scared. You simply looked at him, staring with one brow raised. A heavy gulp slid down your throat.
