Vasilissa floated along to the large and almost endless hallways of her castle. Thankfully, The mud and grime was only visible outside. She sighed as she walked with her friends to their rooms.
She was never failed to be mesmerized by the grand paintings that adorned the walls of halls in her castle. As everyday she passes, she was never failed by the grandeur of the said paintings.
In some point, She ended up staring at one of the portraits of Faith and Will. The two forms of Stella Cadente. While Faith was rumoured to have esquisite beauty and melodious voice, Will was blinding white light. As of no one has succesfully summoned her.
She suddenly got curious and her footsteps led her to the Grand Library. The warm fire was a weapon against the harsh cold darkness that enveloped her Kingdom.
Her Kingdom was once called The Citadel of Knowledge as great scholars around the world was educated here with the blessing of Wisledgia, The Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom.
The years that her late father had worked upon on was still preserved. The magic of the wish he made was still alive.
Vasilissa now walked to one of the large collections of books. Hoping to find one about Faith and Will. But as she opened one of them, She only discovered about the Goddesses that fortified her Citadel.
She whisked her footsteps to her Father's Table. King Reginald was a neat man. But apparently, He has some work left unfinished and left books scattered across his benevolent workspace.
Her eyes crossed on a dusty white book. With words engraved in Gold. It was the book of Stella Cadente!
Vasilissa quickly fiddled her fingers in the thick covering of the book. As she opened it, She was beholded by the portrait of Faith and Will.
She ran out of words as her fingers trailed the face of Will. Stunningly, She was not a blinding light. She had a form of a human being. She looked like her Grandmother. A spitting image.
Her eyes trailed on the description besides the portrait
The Legend of Faith and Will
Faith and Will were both equally beautifull and royal at their own right. They both attracted many suitors at the young age of 15. A lot of young men are smitten at the sight of the two lovely ladies. As Faith was more open to her suitors, Will prefered to stay in the shadows and observe from afar. Two years later, Will is to be coronated as Queen of their land. Faith, who happily married a Prince in a nearby kingdom was on her way to behold the sight of her sister. Sadly, The carraige she rode with her husband got caught up in a storm which both killed them. Devastated, Will still became Queen and married a Prince of a foriegn land. They had two children, A girl which she named after Faith and a boy which she named Harold. One night, Will suddenly disappeared from sight and never returned. They all believed that Faith, Her perished sister took her with her to the stars. Thus forming the Stella Cadente. As both of them loved to stargaze and dream about being stars. Every three years, The two come raining across the sky with promises of granting anything that their will desires and their faith wills.
Vasilissa sighed as she closed the book, Afraid to learn more of the devastating story of the two sisters. But her mind was forcing her to return to the portrait, Will look just like her grandmother, and If her father was a female, He would look exactly the same! Confused, She carried out to her room as she grabbed the book in her gloved hand and put out the crispy warm fire enveloping the Library. She had enough Myths and Legends for one day.
