Three Days after the camping
"Your Majesty, Are you sure you are fairing well?" Commander Alistair asked
"Yes, Thank you for your concern commander. I have already held up our trip by several days. " Vasilissa smiled "I believe we can travel up to the end of the forrests of Everlasting Dreams without camping?"
"Yes, The men are rested enough." The Scout Captain aproached Alistair as he just said the words.
A few whispers were exchanged among the seasoned knights. Then the Captain departed leaving Vasilissa and the Commander alone.
"Is there a problem, Commander?" Vasilissa inquired as she strapped her boots carefully.
"Apparantely, One of our soldiers got sick. So our healer proposed that 3 men be left here." Alistair reported.
Vasilissa threw him a questioning look. She raised her eyebrows and stood straight. "How many men are left for the trip?"
"Aside from the ones... dead. And going to be left here, we have 4."
"Then make that 3. " Vasilissa conjured up a plan in her mind. "You, Jonathan and Felipe should join us. Since Healer Pesterage and the rest will be with the sick cadet. This will make us only 5 travellers and easy to flee if needed."
"What would become of the men after the cadet is healed?"
"Forward them to the Land of Forged Swords right in Yorkshire. The Scarlet Stars would be a walking mile away. They would aid us home."
Commander Alistair smiled widely and bowed. "All will be done, Your Majesty."
A few moments later...
"Felipe, Where are Maximus and Pelopiania? Aren't they comming?" Harold inquired about his men.
"The Queen ordered them to stay back. I, along with Sire Jonathan and Commander Alistair will accompany you. "
"And what is the reason for this arrangement?" Harold inquired.
"Roland is sick, Your Majesty. Healer Pesterage has suggested 3 men to stay with him. And Queen Vasilissa suggested another men to aid the brigade. So that will leave us 5 to travel."
As Harold was suppose to speak, Commander Alistair whistled.
"Okay, Felipe, Jonathan and me will accompany the Majesties. While the others will stay and aid Healer Pesterage. Is that clear men?" Commander Alistair ordered.
"Yes Sir!" The crowd answered in chorus.
Soon after the men dispersed to their duties, Captain Potterage stopped nearby as the travellers are to go venture inside the forrest.
"Safe travels, sir." The Scout Captain salluted. "And you too, Your Majesties"
Vasilissa smiled lovingly and bid her well tidings. "When we come home, I shall reward you dearly with your service Captain."
The Captain smiled and bid another round of goodbyes and well tidings as we depart to the Darkness of the Forrest...
Harold could swear Vasilissa crying sweet tears of remorse of leaving her men in the empty valley. But Harold knew they were utterly safe there...
Until a sound of a roaring cry of pain peirced through their ears...
