Ch 2

Stella's pov

It started raining. "Great" I muttered. I still have couple of hours left on the road. I made a quick stop for gas and to use the restroom. Then I continued driving. I decided to take a shortcut shown on my car gps that will let me arrive 20 min earlier. Not much difference but I decided to go for it! I love shortcuts!

Wind got stronger as if almost swaying my jeep a bit. Yup that scared me! It started pouring heavy rain and it got thicker every passing minute that it was almost hard to see clearly. It was a road in the middle of the dark woods.
Yes, now I wish I didn't go for that shortcut..

I decided to stop on the side of the road till the storm settles down a bit. I parked and waited impatiently.

I slightly lowered my seat and closed my eyes to rest. Within only few moments my eyes suddenly shot wide open when I heard the loud squeaks of car brakes along with a car horn. I looked back and saw the most terrifying scene! A car was sliding in the street due to the rain and it was heading towards me! fast!

My heart stopped I froze out of fear unable to react or even scream. Just staring at the car with wide eyes and clenched shut jaw waiting for the impact.

Bright lights filled my sight and Suddenly .. Everything turned black ..
