Ch 16

Stella's POV

I'm waiting here impatiently for Derek to come back. The sun is rising now, light of dawn is slowly creeping in to fill the cabin. And Derek isn't back yet. I want to go out and look for him so bad, but I know it's a bad idea since he specifically asked me to stay put.

Peter couldn't have hurt him right? He had those 3 boys on his side, they'll help him. I couldn't get the image of that one boy with bright yellow eyes off my mind. Those yellow eyes are anything but normal. I've never seen such a thing before.

I hear voices approaching the cabin. I hope it's Derek. I turn my head towards the direction of the door to see.
The 3 boys walk in calm as if nothing out of the ordinary happened out there. I'm still looking at the door behind them waiting for Derek to follow them. But he didn't.
I stood up alarmed a bit, backing away slowly from them.
"Where's Derek?" I asked.
"Well hello to you too Stella" the boy with curly brown hair told me. His eyes seem normal now. I know I wasn't hallucinating! He continues
"I'm Isaac. These are Aiden and Ethan." He said pointing at each of the twins.
I stay quiet.

"Awh you're scared, it's cute" Aiden chuckles.
"I .. I'm n-not scared" I told them focusing on keeping my distance, when they step forward, I step backwards.

Isaac laughs "yes you are, I can hear yo-"
"Isaac!" Ethan shouts at Isaac shutting him up. "Remember what Derek said? We should keep an eye on her till he gets back! She doesn't know.." He continues telling Isaac.
The last part more of a hushed tone but I still heard him. Derek asked them to look out for me till he gets back, that means he trusts them. They wont hurt me. That made me less scared.

"Um..where's Derek?" I ask again.
"He'll be here soon" Aiden answers as he's heading towards the kitchen. "You like pancakes?"

"It's alright I'm not hungry." I answer him.
"Don't lie. Derek said you haven't eaten a thing since yesterday's breakfast. We should feed you" Isaac smiled showing his pearly teeth.

Me, Isaac, and Ethan sat in the living room waiting for Aiden to finish cooking.

"So how did you end up in Derek's bed?" Isaac asks amused.

My cheeks flushed shades of red.
"I..I didn't. I just.. He.. Helped me.. And .."
I'm so embarrassed that I can't even make a meaningful speech!
Isaac breaks down laughing hard.
I keep intertwining my fingers out of nervousness.
"Isaac stop messing with the girl." Ethan tells him. Ethan seems to be the nice one.

"Pancakes!" Aiden exclaimed! He was carrying a plate with a huge pile of pancakes! Enough for 10 people!
"Whoa who's gonna eat all that?" I said.
"You'd be surprised" Aiden answers winking at me. My cheeks filled with a light shade of pink. How on earth did I end up surrounded by very good looking men all of the sudden?

We began eating. The boys were drinking beer while I stuck with milk. Mom always made us pancakes and milk for breakfast.
Surprisingly, the plate has one last pancake. I've only had two. But the boys? They were literally stuffing food in their mouths! How are they this fit if they eat this much carb!

"what do you guys wanna watch?" Ethan asks us as he's looking through DVDs.

"The big bad wolf" Isaac answers laughing and looking at me.
"Isaac stop it. Make yourself useful and go make us some popcorn. Stella what do you wanna watch?" Ethan tells him.

"Anything" I reply.
"Fine I'll choose." Ethan goes through them for a second but then played one.
"There. This should be good"

Isaac brought two bowels of popcorn. He sat next to me and we shared one. And the twins on the other sofa shared one. I was actually full after the pancakes so I just ate little. The movie played.

It seemed good at first, about a mother and her daughter going on a road trip. A drunk driver suddenly hit them and they crash. This made memories flooding in my mind. I felt my stomach tighten, a lump started forming in my throat.. No no I can't cry.. The paramedics told the daughter that her mom had died and she broke down. That's it I couldn't hold it in anymore, tears were threatening to escape. I can't let them see me cry.. I was trying not to watch the TV, I felt Isaac's eyes at me. I think he noticed.
I got up and rushed to Derek's room closing the door behind me and locking it.

I curled up in Derek's bed and started crying.

ISAAC'S POV

"What just happened?" Aiden asked.
"What did you do this time Isaac?" Ethan asked me.
"What! I haven't done anything! It's the stupid movie you played" I told Ethan.
"No I think there's something more to it. It can't just be the movie" said Ethan.
"Derek's gonna kill us" Aiden stated the obvious.
"What do we do now?" Ethan asks while turning the dvd off.
"I'll go talk to her" I tell the boys.

I knocked at Derek's bedroom door. "Stella ?" there was no reply.
I could hear her muffled crying and sniffing. It's actually sad.
"C'mon Stella open the door.. Please.." I try to convince her. I can easily break the wooden door but Derek would kill me.

I hear footsteps. The door unlocked but didn't open. I opened the door "Stella?"
