Ch 24

Stella's POV

They took me to another place. Peter and 3 of his friends. I overheard them saying we're moving to another place because "he's gonna find us". I have no idea who he is supposed to be.

They took me deep into the woods to a creepy abandoned place. They threw me in one of the empty rooms and locked it. I curled up into a ball in the corner and let out a cry. I held those tears for too long. I know my fate now. I'm never going to walk out of this alive.

DEREK'S POV

"But where could he have taken her! I was sure they'd be here! Dammit!!" I yelled at Isaac, Ethan, and Aiden. I searched the abandoned cabin that Peter had owned and didn't find them.

"They were here Derek" Isaac stated. "Stella's scent is still strong. They were here, not long ago." He continued. Isaac always had the strongest sense of smell.

I took a sniff and her hypnotizing scent filled my nostrils like a drug to me. Oh I'm so getting her back. And this time I'm not going to let her out of my sight.
"C'mon let's trace her scent" I said and the boys followed me.

Stella's POV

Warm sun rays hitting my skin. Cool breeze ruffling my hair. Beautiful green meadow. It's all perfect. But the prettiest thing was the sight of mom running around the meadow happily calling for me to join her. Showing her mesmerising pearly smile. She was wearing a pretty white dress. An angel, that's what she was. I stare at her filled with joy.

"Mom wait for me" I call out. And run to her smiling, stretching my arms wide to wrap them around her. I finally reach her and stand in front of her. I brush my fingers on her cheek.

"Mom I've missed you" I tell her, hiding my tears with a smile. I buried my head in her neck and embraced her.
"Oh honey, I love you Stella" she told me holding me tightly.
"You be careful now.Take care of yourself and follow your heart. Remember sweetie not all monsters do monstrous things." She whispers in my ear.

"Wha-? What do you mean mom?" I ask her puzzled. What is she saying?
She smiles to me and lets go. She's backing away now.
"No no mom don't leave please mom-" I try to reach out but it seems the closer I get the further she's gone.
And right then and there with one blink she disappeared.

I feel the hot rush of blood through my body. I feel striking pain in my stomach. My eyes are shot wide open with agony. I see one of Peter's friends standing over me. I must've fallen asleep.
"Ugh!" I feel the same pain again when that bastard kicked me in the stomach once again.

"Stop it! please!" I beg him. It hurts so much. He smirked and lifted his foot to launch another kick. But someone walked in and interrupted him.
"Hey! Peter wants you" The guy said.

"It's your lucky day kid." He smiles viciously to me and they both left.
I curl up once again. "Help me..please" I whisper to thin air.

It seemed like few hours have passed. The door slammed open. It was that guy again. He'll probably beat me to death. I tremble in fear.

"Well Stella. They left me to babysit you and I'm bored" he spoke as he was pacing around the room.
He continues "So here's what I'm gonna do. I'll teach you a thing or two of your near future. what do you say?"

What? My near future?
"I'll take your silence as approval. so, lesson number one. Do you know what we are Stella?" He speaks slowly with his hoarse scary voice. Staring at me waiting for an answer.

"Wh- what do you m-mean?" My voice barely audible.

He walks closer, leans down on one knee to my level. He glares at me. My heart races.
