A few days pass and Tristan and I have shared over a thousand texts, twenty hours of calls, and fifty pictures. In that time, we've become best friends again and have shared things that neither of our parents knew. He told me he was close to giving up on the current pack he was staying in, wanting to come home and surprise his mom early.

I told him to do what he felt was right.

We even flirted a few times, but I did my best to change the topic whenever it happened, mostly bringing up his mate whenever it got too far. That sobered him up for a while, that is until he unintentionally or intentionally flirted and made suggestive comments. I don't know if he knew what he was doing to me, but his comments made me flush all over and shift uncomfortably in whatever position I was in.

Currently, I'm leaning against my headboard, my phone in hand as I text Tristan about his trip. He had finally decided to come home and surprise his mother, deciding to only tell me and entrusting me in making sure to have her home for when he gets back.

Dylan:

How am I supposed to keep your mom home?

Tristan:

I dunno, tell her you wanna wait till I call again.

Dylan:

I told you I wasn't doing that in the first place -_-

Tristan:

Yeah yeah, keep lying to yourself.

Dylan:

Whatever. Seriously, what do you expect me to do?

Tristan:

Tell her you wanna talk to her about that trip you said you went on. Which, btw, you should tell me more about, sounds interesting.

Dylan:

I told you already, I was with my grandparents.

Tristan:

For eleven years?

Dylan:

Yes, Tristan, for eleven years. Please, I don't want to talk about this right now.

Tristan:

Okay, sorry, I'll let it go. Anyway, just tell her you wanna talk about something and make it good. Use puppy eyes if you have to, she'll fall for it before you even blink.

Dylan:

Fine. Anyway, how are you coming back?

Tristan:

The Alpha's nephew is driving me to the bus stop and then I'll be on the bus for nearly six hours until I get home.

Dylan:

Damn, that bus ride is going to be boring as hell.

Tristan:

Nah, I have a few things to entertain me.
