As soon as I see his face, I freeze in my seat, my mouth slightly dropped open. I know that I look completely stupid as I continue to stare, Patricia and Tristan's eyes on me. I can't seem to fix my expression as I feel the blood rush to my face, my ears beginning to ring slightly.

"Dylan?" Patricia asks, her face coming into view as she spins the chair so I'm facing her.

"I-uh, I'm sorry." I say, clearing my head with a shake. "Sorry, you just remind me of someone." I say to Tristan, who simply nods slowly.

"Are you ok?" Patricia asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine, sorry to worry you." I tell her with a smile, turning my seat so I'm facing the computer again. "I'm Dylan."

"Nice to meet you." Tristan says with a chuckle. "Is my mother bothering you a lot."

"Hey!"

"Not too much." I say with a laugh.

I sit back as Patricia and Tristan continue their conversation before I came in. I try to leave but Patricia simply grabs my wrist and pulls me back into my seat. I let it go and drown out their conversation again, laying my head back and stealing glances at him through half closed lids.

His facial features and the tone of his voice stir some memory, but the more I try to grab a hold of it the more it slips away. I leave it alone as I settle somewhere between sleep and consciousness.

"Is he a new pack member?" I hear Tristan ask.

"No, he was just away for awhile. He got back a few days ago."

"Really? Where has he been?"

"It's complicated."

"Ok. How long was he gone?"

"Ah, eleven years."

"Wow, that's a long time."

"Yup."

"Who are his parents?"

"Um, that's a little more complicated."

"How so?"

"It's not my place. How's your search going? Did you find your mate yet?"

"Ugh, no. I've been here for a week already, I'm sure they're not here. There's one more pack near this one that I'll be going to tomorrow."

"You're not coming back for a little bit before searching another pack?"

"I'm sorry mom, I would but these packs are already far enough from ours, it'll be easier to go there from here instead of from home."

"Oh, ok."

"Don't worry ma, this will be my last pack for a while. I'll be home soon, I promise."

"Ok."

"The pack hunt is tonight, right?"

"Yeah."

The rest of the conversation fades away as I finally fall asleep on the chair, right in front of Tristan and Patricia; I'm sure the embarrassment will filter in soon.

~~~
"Hey, Bunny?"
"Yeah?"
"When we get older, imma marry you."
"Ok-"
~~~

"Bunny..."

"What'd you say?"

"Huh?" The loud words make me sit up and nearly topple off the chair and onto the floor.
