Magnus was shivering in the back seat of the big black car dispute it being a warm summer night. "Are you alright?" Alec asked giving the boy a short glance through the rear view mirror. "Yes, Sir." It was a sharp and short answer just like Alec wanted, and the way Magnus called him sir was definitely appealing.

"You said your name is Magnus, right?" Alec tried starting a conversation before heading into such a heavy topic but it had to be discussed because the fact that their target was following him couldn't have been a coincidence. They’ve been trying to get hold of this man for over two years and Alec knew there had to be a connection between Him and Magnus.

"Yes..." Magnus trailed off looking at Alec with frightened, wide eyes. Alec sighed softly half expecting the boy to faint from how pale he was. It was a short 15 minute drive to Magnus’ home but it was enough for him to fall asleep. The whole evening had overwhelmed him and he couldn't fight the weight of his eyelids any longer.

"So... we’re here." Alec announced when he pulled the car into Magnus’s drive way and turned his head seeing he was asleep. Alec sighed getting out of the drivers seat before he carefully opened to Magnus’ door as to not spook him. Magnus eyes fluttered open when he felt a hand gently shaking his shoulder and startled when he stared up into the deep hazel eyes he thought he had dreamed.

"We’re here." Alec said a little disappointed he had to wake him but he also knew he couldn't let him sleep in his car all night. "Oh...sorry...I didn't realize that I was that tired." Magnus apologized a light blush spreading over his face and neck causing Alec’s stomach to flutter.

This rosy colour that covered his beautiful face and these shy brown eyes staring up at him robbed him of breath. Everything about this boy was pulling him closer as he kept looking at him neither saying a word, both lost in the other.

Magnus lost in the touch of the hand still resting on his shoulder, lost in the sparkling green and brown eyes, and just utterly lost in the feeling. Alec snapped out of his trance as a car down the street honked and quickly removed his hand from Magnus’ shoulder before pulling back. Magnus shook his head while stepping out from the car a yawn leaving his lips.

"Thanks for the ride...you really didn't have to do that, Sir." Magnus didn't know what it was but the whole aura of this man was intimidating as hell and at the same time it made him unbelievably attractive. Magnus knew he wasn't only attracted to girls; but the way he was attracted to Mr. Tall dark and handsome was slightly disconcerting.

"I know I didn't have to...but I wanted you to get some rest. Here is my card...I want you to show up at the office tomorrow because we have some questions." Alec didn't sound like he was going to leave Magnus a chance to say no but Magnus still snapped his head up from the card looking at him questioningly. "What kind of questions?" Magnus asked confused and Alec cocked an eyebrow as a frown tugged his forehead.

"You don’t know who was following you do you? That was someone from the Laskar gang...they came from Indonesia a few years ago and since then the FBI has been trying to track them down. This is the first man we’ve caught and he followed you which brings up some questions." Alec explained seeing how the boys mouth formed an 'oh' shape and God a very inappropriate imagine popped into Alec’s mind.

He couldn't believe it but in his head he could see these beautiful plump lips wrapped perfectly around his huge and throbbing...'Okay you're at work and you are definitely not this boys type...mentally speaking.' Alec thought to himself pushing the dirty minded thoughts from his head. "But I have work tomorrow from 8am to 9pm." Magnus mumbled quietly keeping his head down while he nervously drew circles with his foot on the ground.

"That's a 13 hour shift...what are you? 17? You're not even allowed to be working that many hours." Alec snorted knowing that no one actually cared about the legal working limits because the money was needed.  "I'm 18...soon to be 19, Sir. I really need the money so I can't miss a day at work." Magnus voice was so shy and soft it was like a beautiful song made just for Alec.

"I can talk with your Boss... but I’ll need his number." Alec said taking out his phone and again didn't ask but order. Magnus had no idea why he found this demanding and dominate tone so arousing but here he was. "I don't know it...but it's called Moody's Diner...it shouldn't be hard to find... sorry." Magnus felt dumb for not knowing the number but he never needed it before and never thought he would.

"Okay...no need to be embarrassed just get some sleep and for the time being you won't be walking around at night anymore." Again not a request but an order. Magnus nodded quickly before heading inside. Closing the door behind him he leaned back against the wooden frame closing his eyes and  inhaling deeply.

Alec didn't head back to his office that night, neither did he go home because he knew he wouldn't be able to rest. He just knew that if one of the gang members followed Magnus another one was already on their way. This gang only came for a reason and his gut told him this boy was in deep trouble. Alec settled in his car watching the boys home.

He watched, and watched and watched until the moon faded with the glimmering stars and the sun rose once again over Long Island City...//tbc
