Magnus was sitting in bed his breathing fast with a racing heart beat. Tonight he could have died. His whole life could have been gone in just a moment of a second and that would have been it.
A normal person would be thinking about the way things would have ended if the two agents hadn’t been there but that wasn’t the thing on Magnus’s mind. He could only think of the agent with the stunning hazel eyes and raven black, thick unruly hair. Magnus couldn't get this man out of his head and every time he closed his eyes there he was.
This night was the worst it could have ever been but also amazing because he had zero nightmares. He didn't see the woman getting pushed under water by two men while a young boy hid; instead he saw him. He saw special agent Alexander Lightwood saving him and then staring up at him with a breath taking smile.
"Magnus... Magnus wake up." Magnus felt someone shaking his shoulder and slowly his eyes fluttered open feeling the sun tickle his skin. "Mmm...what time is it?" Magnus asked sitting up causing Admodeus to chuckle as he took a seat on the edge of his sons bed.
He was really worried when he left last night and seeing that he was alright was a huge relief; and that is exactly why Magnus would never tell him what happened on his way home. His dad was already worrying enough and he would never allow him to continue taking the night shifts at the diner even though they really needed the extra cash.
"It's 7am...sorry for waking you up so early but I wanted to make sure that you were alright." Asmodeus answered gently caressing his sons cheek. Magnus smiled at his Dad feeling guilty as hell for lying and trying to overcome the feeling of betrayal by distracting himself and saying,
"It's fine... I’ve got to get ready for work anyway." Getting up from his bed and heading to the small bathroom only daring to look at his father's face. He hated lying but sometimes it was for the better and he hadn’t really lied, he just didn't tell him the whole truth.
"Be careful when you leave...there is a creep sleeping in his car just across from the house." Asmodues muffled a yawn and a frown tugged on Magnus forehead making him look out the window and his heart stopped. Why was he here? What was he doing?
"Maybe he’s waiting for someone." Magnus tried to play it cool and gladly his dad shrugged it off before he went to his room to sleep after working for so long. Magnus bit his lower lip and thought about what he should do now and decided to make a coffee for his hero. After all, Magnus would have been dead if this man hadn’t been there and Magnus was really curious why he was sleeping in his car.
Alec was startled when he heard a knock and snapped his eyes open, his whole body screaming in alarm he shot bolt up right. Alec looked around needing a few seconds to remember what was going on and here he was. His eyes landed on his window and he stared directly into beautiful soft brown eyes. The boy was smiling shyly and held a cup of coffee so Alec opened his car door to talk to him.
"Good morning... sorry I didn't mean to scare you, Sir."Magnus apologized with an adorable blush on his cheeks and hell how Alec loved the shy ones. "It's alright...why are you up so early?" Alec asked rubbing his eyes and stratching his back making him look even taller to Magnus who couldn’t help but stare.
Magnus didn't really have the chance to see Alecs features the first time they met because us was dark but now the sun was up and Magnus could only admire how good Alec looked in this black and white suit that hugged his body perfectly and how his dark hair was shining with the reflection of the golden morning sunshine.
"You want to answer my question or just stand here the entire day and stare at me, not that I mind... at all." Alec asked with a teasing smirk seeing how the boy couldn’t tear his eyes away from him. Magnus hearing his words blushed profusely in embarrassment.
"Uhm...I'm sorry...I...my dad woke me up when he came home...from uh from work." Magnus was a stuttering mess and how Alec would have loved to play more with him but he didn't fulfill the conditions Alecs toys needed.
"Well then, we could head to the office right now and start the questioning process. I will call your boss on our way." Alec was really good at ordering people around and Magnus wasn't sure if he did it on purpose or if it was out of habit.
Either way Magnus would never deny a request from his hero and honestly he was completely taken by Alecs commanding aura and didn’t want to. "Okay...how long will it take?" Magnus mumbled not looking directly in Alecs eyes and Alec shrugged leaning backwards on his car. "Maybe an hour. What’s with the mug by the way?" Alec asked raising an eyebrow pointing to the mug in Magnus hands causing him to look down and mentally face-palm himself.
"It's for you...my dad said you slept in the car...why?" Magnus replied looking in the eyes of his savior and Alec asked himself that question 100 times that night never coming to an answer.
"Because one of the most dangerous gangs seems to have a connection with you. I thought maybe another member would have shown up."Alec answered not quiet sure if this was the truth and the disappointment flicking in Magnus eyes was extremely unpleasant. What was it about this boy that made him so special and made Alec feel things no person ever had.
Magnus felt a little disappointed by his answer but he didn't know why he should have been hoping for anything different. What the hell was happening?...//tbc
mhhh seriously Alec? Better ask what isn't special about Magnus. 😌💜💜
