Matteo was waiting just a few steps from Alec’s private room keeping his distance because he knew Alec hated nosey people but he still knew he needed to be here. He had only met Magnus once and just barely got to know him a little bit but still he wanted to make sure he was alright. Even he knew Alec would NEVER hurt someone who didn’t ask or deserve it he still felt the need to protect Magnus. The door opened and he pushed himself slightly from the wall looking with curious eyes to find to his surprise that Alec was the first to leave. Alec froze when he saw Matteo but then stalked over to him with a heavy heart. "You know what you have to do. ...Thanks." His voice was dead but Matteo caught the single emotion breaking through the ice. It was heartbreak. Matteo could clearly hear the pain in Alec’s voice and he sighed but didn't dare say anything about it. "Magnus... Magnus, are you okay?" Matteo asked walking carefully inside the room. Magnus stood with his back to the door staring out into space. "Magnus, hey... are you alright?" Matteo asked again worried when he didn't get an answer the first time and placed a hand on Magnus’ shoulder; Magnus flinched. "Ya sorry... I'm just a little confused." Magnus replied thoughtfully causing a frown to appear on Matteo’s forehead as Magnus slowly turned. "What did he say to you?" Matteo knew he  shouldn't butt in but he was very curious as well as hopeful. "He pushed me away just like he did before." Magnus answered but his tone didn't fit the words he spoke. He sounded composed but didn’t sound sad or upset about it which was what Matteo didn't get. "That's bad right? Why aren't you upset?" Matteo asked confused and a small smile crossed Magnus lips. "Maybe I didn’t go to college but i don't need a degree to read people. He has some things to figure out for himself and I can wait. Let's head back, shall we?" Magnus responded surprising Matteo with his enthusiasm but Matteo knew Magnus was right about it. Alec had a lot to figure out at the moment and he had to win all of his old battles before he could start new ones.

Alec just wanted to take in some fresh air and breathe because the conversation messed with him than he thought it could. It brought old memories back he really struggled to forget; sometimes they broke out of wherever Alec had locked them away and it terrified him. He opened the door to the back of the club and his skin shivered when the cold air brushed over him. It started to rain a little but was still quite warm. Alec looked upwards to the sky feeling the rain drops slide down his cheeks and wet his clothes. He closed his eyes but the next second he felt someone roughly grab his arm and all of his alarm bells raged. He slammed his eyes open and shook the hand off seeing a man who's face covered by a black mask. In a moment of second their meeting turned into a battle of life or death and Alec had to fight the guy off him. "Who are you?" Alec chocked out while he was trying his best to get a grip of the guy but the man was quick and pushed Alec back. Alec was an amazing fighter but this man had an advantage, he had a taser. He held it to Alecs waist and pressed the button sending an awful burning shock through Alec’s body sending the smell of burnt flesh into the air. Alec hissed through gritted teeth and out of reflex held onto the man in front of him with wide eyes. He slowly sunk on his knees and pressed his hand to the spot the taser hit him. The man grabbed Alecs chin forcing him to look up towards him as his mouth curled into a evil smirk. "I have a message... stop your little investigation or you’ll get a lot more than you bargained for." The voice was deep and had a heavy tone of joy but Alec couldn’t place it to a familiar person. The man lifted his knee colliding with Alec’s chin before letting Alec fall forward. He groaned in pain but if this man thought a little pain was going to stop Alec he was more than wrong. Alec went through so much pain in his life already this was just like getting a little punch. At first it hurts but then it's gone in a second. "Then I have message for you... watch who you threaten." Alec whispered taking out the small gun he always hid in his shoes shooting the man in his lower leg. The shot was followed by a painful scream and Alec saw the masked man sinking to his knees.

“Alec! Dave called me, what the hell is going on?" Hao half yelled as he pushed through the door and knelt by Alec’s side not noticing the other man on the ground. "Hao... there." Alec breathed out lifting his hand to point towards the man and Hao hurried himself to the other. "Got him!" Hao yelled as he put handcuffs on the groaning mans wrists. Alec smirked as he slowly sat up staring down the other man revelling in how stupid he must be. "You used a taser? What kind of man are you?" Hao huffed as he pulled the man off the ground and took out his phone. "It’s confirmed that he’s part of the gang that attacked Matteo and followed Magnus. Get him to the precinct... we will take care of him tomorrow... Dr. Dawson will take a look at his wound." Alec ordered his voice sounding a little groggy but he stood and refused to show any weakness towards that asshole. "Sure Boss. Can you bring Matteo home for me?" Hao asked hating the fact that he had to leave his sub but work was calling and he had orders to fulfill. "No worries, your boy is safe with me. Let's find out tomorrow what this little coward wants from my boy." Alec replied death roiling in his eyes and his blood bubbling with murder before he realized... he just called Magnus HIS boy...//tbc
