Chapter 39

Magnus couldn't believe what the subs told him and his mind went completely blank. One person died and the one he felt so much for was in much more than danger. He couldn't think straight and he didn't hear the others calling his name all he could think of was Alec. Magnus ran through the hallways like his life depended on it and didn't even think about knocking on Alecs door before bursting into his room. He shoved the door open so hard that it hit the plaster wall and reverberated while chipping the black paint; his heart beating faster than a rabbits and the spear of his breath wasn’t far behind. "Alexander?... Alexander?!" Magnus asked looking around the room but Alec wasn't in view and it shook Magnus’ head into a broken mess. His heart was heavy with fear that something might have happened to Alec and honestly he was close to crying. He could imagine letting Alec go for now but he couldn't imagine seeing Alec dead. Magnus could live through his life without Alec being in a prominent place but he couldn't have a life in which Alec wasn’t breathing. "Hao..." Magnus whispered under his breath and the young man booked to the Masters room but stopped dead in tracks when he heard the loud voices emanating through the wooden door. He quickly recognized them as Matteo and Hao and realized they were in an heated argument. "You should have told me! I deserve to know when you go out and do something that could get you killed!" Matteo shouted hs voice breaking and Magnus could hear his friend was deeply hurt. "You would have only worried, and you don't need that. I'm alright and alive see." Hao argued sounding guilty but also not seeming in the mood to apologize. There was silence for a long moment until Magnus heard a loud noise that sounded like someone had just gotten slapped and then a wince followed. "You don't want me to worry? You want me to be happy and celebrate while you you could be dead? You want me to come home just for some stupid FBI agent to tell me you gone? Did you want me to feel guilty that I enjoyed the time while you were killed? I can't belive that I love someone like you. Go... go on your stupid missions but don't expect me to wait for you or to come home anymore." Matteo was yelling but in the end he was crying and Magnus stood there frozen on the spot in front of the closed door. Magnus didn't hear the footsteps come closer and he flinched back in response when the door opened. Matteo looked at him tears streaming down his cheeks and his curls covering his forehead as well as part of his eyes but not enough that they hid the heart break showing through. Magnus was worried that Matteo would get mad at him for eves dropping but all Matteo did was throw himself into Magnus’ arms. Magnus stumbled back but he quickly took Matteo in his arms and looked to Hao who was holding his cheek. Magnus has only ever saw Hao as a strong man that was always very composed but right now he saw a man with fear. He could see tears shimmering mixed with brokenness swimming in Hao’s eyes. "It's going to be alright... please don't cry." Magnus wasn't the most social person and he was slightly overwhelmed with Matteo’s emotions but he also desperately wanted to comfort his friend. "What happened?" Magnus asked his eyes fixed on Hao who was staring at Matteo with an empty gaze and Magnus could have sworn that he saw a tear running down his face. "Matteo? what happened?" Teddy asked concerned when he found his long time friend crying in his new friends arms. Mattel pulled back from Magnus’ embrace looking with a tear stained face at Teddy and Teddy didn't hesitate to take Matteo into his arms. "Go to the subroom... I need to talk with Hao for a second... about Master Alexander." Magnus told his two friends only getting a nod from Teddy as he dragged Matteo to the subroom away from his Master... if he still was his master. "What happened, Master?" Magnus asked with concerned eyes and Hao sucked in a shaky breath sitting down on the bed. "We had a Misson and I didn't tell Matteo. It was a routine raid... we’ve done this so many times and he always worries so much. I just wanted him to feel carefree tonight. Nothing should have happened." Hao could slap himself for not telling Matteo but he couldn't have known that this was going to happen . "What... what happened?" Magnus asked scared to hell that something might have happened to Alexander and Hao sat down on his bed with an obviously heavy heart. "They had a machine and a smoke bomb. In a moment of a seconds we were all on the ground and when Alec woke up again he hurried to help me with another agents that gotten hit. Alec took off his bulletproof vest thinking all of the gang members had been killed but he was wrong. One was about to shoot him... but Deven protected him...Deven sacrificed himself by throwing himself in front of the bullet and now he’s never going to wake up." Hao explained the pictures of Alec lashing out not leaving his trail of thought and he looked up to Magnus. "I know Alec got under your skin, Magnus but whatever you do keep yourself away from him. He isn't good for you... he will only hurt you. Listen to my words... run as far as you can." Hao never worried that his friend would hurt anyone but after he had seen this side of Alec tonight that was more monster than human he didn't trust anything anymore. "I don't care what you have to say. I don't care what he did or what he is capable of... I just want to be with him." Magnus was angry that everyone was telling him what to do and that everyone had their mind made up about him except himself. He stormed out of the room and caught Alec going into his room from the corner of his eye. Magnus ran towards him ripping the door open and before Alec could say anything Magnus threw himself in his arms. "Thank God you're not hurt." Magnus answered talking about the physical aspect of his body because he knew mentally Alec was bleeding out...//tbc

oh oh Hao and Matteo seem to have huge trouble but what will happen with Magnus and Alec now😔😔😔💜💜💜
